Bitcoin Central Is Now Licensed To Operate As A Bank

The great thing about reality is that it doesn't care what people on wickedfire think.

Bitcoin is moving in the right direction for success.

...maybe the market has spoken? ;)

Wow... That's kinda huge. Bitcoins for Domains from a major domain co... Now that's useful!

I just read further along:
Namecheap's Community Manager said:
You don't have to ask us to accept it because it's going to happen :) We promise.
So it sounds like a done deal then! This is awesome... Makes me consider using namecheap again, despite the shit they pulled on me a few years back.

Now, for the interesting part of this conversation... Assuming that the white house eventually cracks down on bitcoin, would they be able to/likely to yank these domains we buy with bitcoin as well?

Certainly there would be a tax record housed at NC... So I wouldn't suggest anyone use this (or any other domain I'd guess) with btc in order to avoid taxes.

Still a great step forward though.

The internet economy is going to be first adopters of these kind of currencies. Then eventually, some forward minded entrepreneur is going to sell more common commodities online and accept Bitcoin. Probably from somewhere like HK or China. You'll see Bitcoin become a real threath to the worldwide tax mafia. Nations better ramp up their anti-democratic movements or adapt to the new world, where the internet class jump from nation to nation like choosing between Coke or Pepsi. This is the future bros.

I understand the point you're trying to make, but this is not solid reasoning.

Maybe pedophiles trade in kiddie porn and don't care what people on WF think. Does the fact that here is a black market in kiddie porn mean anything about whether the "market has spoken"?

Markets are dynamic. At one time, markets (metaphorically) spoke about gold. One day, they may (imo unlikely) speak about Bitcoin. But then they will later speak about something else.

These victories are temporary at best.

BTC isn't important. Technology is important. The bigger seachange is being missed here.
