Wow, just wow.

A HARARE man committed suicide a few hours after after calling his wife to inform her of a penalty given to his website by search engine provider Google.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector James Sabau said Punish Sata called his wife at work to inform her that Google had applied penalties to his site and others throughout the global Internet.

He said Sata's wife and in-laws hurried to his apartment after repeated telephone calls went unanswered. They knocked on the door but he was not responding up until one of them peeped through the window and saw his body hanging.

They broke the door and cut off the rope in a bid to render first aid but Sata was already dead.

A report was made to the police and Sata's body was taken to Harare Hospital mortuary for postmortem.

Rubbish. Everything is funny. The darker, the funnier.

And before you say "you don't know what it's like etc.", someone in my close family killed themselves a year or so ago. It's a good source of black humour.

Laughing about things needn't trivialise them. We still care about it... it's how we deal with it.
