Buy a juicer

You have energy and focus because of the sugar high from all the fruit you're juicing! It's like eating candy bars...

- Carrot - 1
- Radish - 1/4 (Add the root as it is, blanch the leaves for a few seconds, strain and then add them to the juicer)
- Cucumbers - 1 Large or 2 small
- Green apples - 2
- Oranges - 2
- Peaches - 1
- Kiwi - 1 medium sized
- Celery - 1 medium sized piece
- Pineapple - 1 Large piece
- Tomato - 1 Small
- Dragon Fruit - 1 Medium (Great for lowering cholestrol)
- Strawberries - (The taste is amazing at the end)

- Once you're done, if the juice is not sweet enough, add a spoonful of honey.

I don't mean to pick on you but I'm going to use your recipe as an example...

Not counting everything in there, just the 2 apples, 2 oranges, strawberries, peach and some pineapple you're looking at about 120grams of sugar!

To put that in perspective this is 110grams of sugar in a mcdonalds thickshake...

Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's not bad for you to consume that much sugar. Most fruit has about a half half ratio of fructose to sucrose. Fructose has the lowest GI of the sugars, but sucrose is just table sugar. You're spiking the hell out of your blood sugar and insulin levels.

Then you say if it's not sweet enough add honey? holy shit son! if it was any sweeter there'd be a wanted poster of you down at the candy store.

If you watch the movie, he is using primarily Kale etc. etc. and only some apples are used to sweeten the concoction.

Good call on watching the amount of fruit you consume...

Spice... I like a lot of hot foods. Can you add peppers (red or jalepeno) to your juice? Has anyone tried that? Results? Taste? Or would it be best to just add a drop or two of Tabasco?

you can juice peppers, I juice onions, spicey as hell.

Let me know if you're interested in doing the reboot, I might start with a 10 day one and if it goes well go to 30. So it might be cool to have someone doing it along with me. If anyone else is interested. Hit me up as well.

Ive added chilis and ginger to juices. It can be really intense depending on your recipe.

I'm planning on doing a Reboot. Little nervous since it's a huge lifestyle change, but it's either do something (Reboot, other diet, bariatric surgery) or die young. So, I choose "Do something".

my favorite juice

100mg Test Prop ED
75mg Tren A EOD
100mg Drol ED

Awesome!

seriously...

I love juicers but stopped because they are impossible to clean and I get an upset stomach from veggie juice for some reason

Yea, I think you should transition into the reboot, start eating less and replacing a few meals a day with juice. After a few weeks start the straight up juice fast. You don't want to throw your system into shock. I'm eating one solid meal a day and 2 juice meals now. I'll probably do this for a week or so.
Good luck man, we're the same height but I'm only about 212, I have about 35lbs to lose. I'm 35, I have a 4 year old son and I've been feeling like shit lately chasing after him. I want to be around to see his kids.

Someone is trying to get rippppped!

After reading this thread, and watching Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, I bought a juicer on Amazon (use Amazon for everything). Went with the Omega VRT350. I liked the slower speed because it's quiet and after watching the 30 comparison video someone posted between the Breville and the Omega... that Breville tomato juice as just nasty looking. After seeing that, and thinking how much I like tomatos, no Breville here.

Seriously considering the Reboot that Joe talks about in the movie. I'm built like that truck driver - Phil - only shorter. 5 foot 8 inches and 375 pounds. If I don't do something soon, I'm not going to live long enough to see grandkids.

Do it bro.

Keep us posted on how it goes. Daily logs or something. Weigh yourself at the same time every day to see if you notice any weight changes.

Just wanted to add to this that if you're really over weight the fat will melt off you fast as fuck even with no exercise. Doing some exercise daily will only improve your results.

I do the master cleanse a couple times a year, and its lemon juice, cayenne pepper and maple syrup. It's strangely good, and because of the cayenne...

I am tempted to get a juicer now.

Sorry, couldn't resist :) Remember that preventative care is ALWAYS going to be cheaper than reactive care. Spend a few hundred bucks to prevent that heart attack vs. a few thousand to fix the damage after it occurs. So kudos to you for taking action and saving your own life.

Inspired by this thread I kind of started yesterday with the Odwalla Superfood stuff you get at the grocery store. Yesterday evening a friend showed me how to put that green recipe together which helped out a great deal. Gave me some overall advice and his main point was that if you can survive past the first 3 days - you'll be fine.

Today is officially Day 1 of the 'System reboot' juice diet!!!

So far so good and while I'm a 'little' hungry its not hard core hunger pains. Trying to stay ahead of it by drinking some juice and water every so often.

For dinner with the family I'm going to be doing a can of tomato soup so I have something to eat while sitting down with them. Would be weird not eating with wife and kids!

Been watching some of the Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead Youtube videos from other people which are inspiring.

One of the things I worried about was not having enough protein but according to calculations you are actually getting MORE then you need. So no worries about major muscle loss (vs. Fat).

Let's see if I can make it past Day 3!!!

P.S. If anyone wants to chat on skype, so we help keep each other motivated, feel free to send me an IM and I'll add you.

I have done a 40 day master cleanse, so you guys doing juice fasts better nut up. The first 3 days are when your body revolts and detoxes, so if you can make it past those, all that is left is your psychological craving for bad food.
