Buying A Private Island

Yep but the stickler is that you can't get sovereignty. Also, I don't think I would be allowed to have remote controlled sharks on the perimeter.

A few years back, I saw one that was on mostly a huge mountain off the coast of Italy. There was a monastery on the top. You could toss infidels over the ledge into the ocean for certain death. It would be a nice location to invite politicians. :)

Problem is it just sits there unless you have a huge amount of money to develop it. No water, power, sewer. And in areas of the US, the waterfront is protected by state/federal laws.

I've seen some cheap lots on small islands for camping/yurts every now and then here in WA state, like $15k - $30k.

If I had 3.5mil I'd live here for sure:

But again, there are a bunch of islands here in WA state with 5 acres of waterfront property for $200k or less because they're hard to get to.

My dream is a floating barge, then I could lay down sand, beach chairs, palm trees, strip poles, and a bar + kitchen. Portable paradise. Could raise money taking guys out tuna fishing with gorgeous womenz galore and big game fish in international waters, casino, you name it.

Considering the tax havens in the carribean. A private island could possibly pay for itself after few years. Richard Branson did it to avoid tax.

island is only baller if you can pay to have it staffed and manicured to perfection like my boy richy branson

I'm not really into the whole island thing because I don't like being close to the water like that, but I'm totally gunning towards buying a small warehouse up in the mountains and turning it into the fucking bat cave.

I'd love to own an island, so long as

1. I could spend enough time on it to justify owning it.

2. I had a bunch of friends/family on it with me at all times.

I wouldn't think of owning an island for myself only. What I would like is to own a part of an island that is already owned by a developer. Wait until he develops it then build a hotel on my part of the island. No big money spent, high return of investment.

If I do own an island for myself. I would definitely get those sharks.:zzwhip:

Fuck, his own island at 27.

It's hard to not feel like a total failure in life when you watch documentaries on guys like Richard Branson and Elon Musk.

These guys are success machines. Anything they touch turns to gold.

i dunno, man. i recently stumbled upon (because i was looking) an idea that i think will net me a mil plus per year after 3 years of work. you & me, we're not like most folk, we're TRYING, just like RB. most aren't. i think he'd see us as kindred.
