canelo v mayweather...

5hunnit on Money Mayweather via paypal. Whats up.

i watched the "all access" episodes on showtime.

couldn't hardly stand the mayweather parts. that guy is a walking cliche. surrounded 24/7 by the skanks & leeches he calls his entourage, yap yap yap yap like a needy lapdog, needs 100 dumbfucks to sit around and watch his "workouts" so they can hear his blather between every punch on the bag, endless talk about himself, his wealth, his women, his cars, his nightlife, his masseuse, his cook, blah, blah, blah. its hard to believe that after having wealth for this long, he's still so insecure that he can't shut up about it. you'd think that would wear off after a few years.

canelo, on the other hand? he worked. small crew. meager settings. lots of sweat. way under what he could have spent, he's a millionaire many times over. way under what he could have talked, he's 42-0. he trained like a hardcore athlete.

i think mayweather is in trouble on this one. i certainly hope so.

Agreed about Mayweather, but at the same time, while I'm sure a lot of that is Floyd being Floyd, a lot of it is also "Money Mayweather." That's his persona, he's the villain people want to see lose. And since he doesn't lose, people keep tuning in to see it when it happens. His act has only grown bigger with every fight. Some of that is surely ego, but a lot of it is also his act. It's not like he didn't know the cameras were rolling during camp. He's a fucking genius at promoting himself and a hell of a business man. Even if he had lost his last fight he was still guaranteed something like $65+ million. It's ridiculous.

Canelo is really damn good, but Floyd is a great fighter (and an even better entertainer). I don't know if he's in trouble, but I'd like him to be.

He's .... a hell of a business man.

fifty cent used to be close with mayweather & said just the opposite... that he basically fights to earn a paycheck, spends it, and then fights to earn another. and that when his fighting days are done, he's gonna go broke fast.

nobody is saying he's not a good draw or that he doesn't know how to bring in more PPV revenues by playing a role, but i doubt he's a hell of a business man. he's good at the revenue side because of his talent and a bit of WWE (or whatever the acronym is these days) flair. that dude can't manage a business at all unless its hemorraging income, which thankful to his talent remains the case for at least the next 3 hours.

To be fair, I'm not his accountant, so I don't know what his personal finances look like. What I do know is the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions has said Floyd is a pretty savvy businessman.

As to 50's comments, those also came at the same time that he decided he wanted to start managing boxers and fighters and while he and Floyd were publicly beefing. I'll take that with a grain of salt.

Besides that, any fighter that can get a six fight deal for upwards of $200 million and have full control of all promotions, is doing it right. Plenty of great businessmen couldn't manage their personal finances for shit, that's why there were smart enough to hire accountants to control the purse strings.

Since when did they raise the fucking PPV price to $74.99? Jesus. I know, I'm a peasant but fuck.

i know, crazy. i'd still pay it, but i can't pay it because i'm in a fucking hotel that won't allow it.

any of you guys got a link to it like you've had for MMA PPV?

I hear you, and I'm in agreeance. I've watched both athletes and I think it's a fair fight. On the other hand canelo is almost 10 years younger than mayweather or something other around there. My money is still on Floyd. The Money Team.
Put cha $ where ya mouf iz

on paper, mayweather's defensive boxing skills should win him the decision but I wouldn't bet on this fight
