They are in breach of their contract with Mr Sheen. He will take them to court...and guess what he will be doing there?
There is probably a rider in his contract allowing them to fire him should he be unable to do his job effectively or for conduct unbecoming. The studios know how to cover their asses.
Why is he tweeting for cash when he has been making $2M per episode plus residuals? I know he's a baller, but even so....

It's amazing how awesome someone can be by just not giving a shit what other people think. Winning.
Not that I can't think of any legitimate reasons for disliking him, but I would venture to guess that a lot of the people hating on him are doing so because he reminds them that they are prisoners of society and will never taste the pure freedom that can only be attained by truly NGAF.
Personally, I could never dislike the face of Hot Shots! and Hot Shots! Part Deux.
The network is thinking of replacing him with John Stamos.
