CLOSED THREADS.. READ HERE

Hey Zingo,

Now I get PM spam of people asking if I want to order things from Webpro and freshmorning

Is this what it will come down to with these paying threads. I am more annoyed about the PM spam but I think you guys should definitely do payments for these threads. Will be posting a thread soon myself working out kinks.

Lol I don't know Jon or any of the moderators personally but I found this thread particularly funny.

I 100% agreed with every one bitching and moaning because closing threads after 10 days sounded like a terrible idea. I'm a buyer and so I like to subscribe to threads and stay informed that way. New threads would be a mess. I also thought $100+ a month is a lot for the cheaper services, something based on how much the service costs would be a simple and effective plan.

More importantly I thought Jon's responses were very arrogant. I don't know him personally and based on the way people talk about him, I assume he has more money than god. Fair enough. Still seemed like this was a money grab to me with his reluctance to offer a proper explanation but his quickness tell people to fuck off.

The kicker to me is after reading 6 pages of people bitching and moaning (both sellers and buyers) I go to the BST section and I see 50+ new threads, some of them into second and third pages already and all QUALITY services.

Point being, sure some tweaks need to be made. At the end of the day, looks like Jon knew what he was doing all along. :)

The problem as a buyer is that I subscribe to threads to keep track of which services I'm interested in.

If the threads keep closing and new ones opening for the same service, it will be easy for me to lose track and I will have no idea when a new thread starts for that service.

Just wanted to point that out.

exactly, by subscribing to threads I keep track of sellers I am interested in and if they gonna expire in 10 days then I'd have to search for it again

I know an answer might have already been given but scrolling through 6 pages is going to be a tiresome job, as I have to read all replies.

Can someone tell me if this 10 day thread starting again rule is still in place? I think I am reaching that limit on my thread so just wondering.. I would be much more happier paying $100 now to keep my thread for the next month instead of paying weekly.

So, yeah, can someone just tell me if that rule is still in place or if it has been taken out..

Yessir...get ready to create a new thread :)

Sent payment for a thread and immediately got a "security token" error.

I think we may not need some of the existing stickies anymore after this change. Example - No link wheel, etc threads. Because low quality providers are less likely to open threads now.

Yeah i got that too. You need to refresh the page or hit F5 and you will see the section where you are able to post. But i guess you already closed it now eh?

I personally don't mind creating a new thread after 10 days, but it would be soo much better to temporary close the paid thread, and reopen it once the payment is made. I guess this will stress out those cheap service providers to quit, either ways it still works out.

If the payment is deducted from your account you can create thread, just try to post a "New Thread" , I think so it will work.:music06:

I personally use the age and post count many times when determining whether to order a service or not. I think by making sellers create new threads every 10 days it will take a lot away from the BST section.
