What are some Cool/Catchy Promotional Items you have Received from your Welcome Bag and/or Show Floor over the years from conventions?

Over the last year, a Skateboard has been my favorite, my little guy loved it.

What about you?
 


Poker chips, playing cards, card protectors, baseball caps, pens, mouse pads, breath mints... that's some of the stuff in sight right now from online gaming conferences. Pretty typical stuff really.

As a graphic designer I tend to fill my bags with the best and shiniest brochures and folders and shit too. I always keep a big selection of printed samples on hand to reference.
 
I won't even take 95% if handed to me let alone actually find it valuable.

I'd much rather a company have a memorable name, a decent url, and a booth that from 10' away explains what they do. Then once I visit their url I 'get it' - instead of reading for 10 minutes and not understanding yet seeing every cliche stock photo and corporate buzzword like 'revolutionizing,' 'dynamic' and 'synergy.'

I'm after money, not corproate bullshit. That's why I left the rat race.

FUCK OFF ITEMS:
Big bulky thicker bonded folders with 10-20 papers in them. It's called a website fuckhead, quit killing trees and taking up tons of space in my bag.
Biz card CDROMs
Water bottles (Dude, we're travelling, that shit fills up a suitcase fast.)
Cheap bic pens
Cheapo shirts
Chocolates in any form

Totally gay items that should qualify you for a herpes test:
Skate decks, seriously guys, how fucking gay is that.

The raffles for higher end merchandise do it for me. Show me more of that and I'll definitely talk to you. As an affiliate marketing trade show/gadget/giveaway junkie I had enough of the t-shirts, pens, bottles, blah blah blah and want the good stuff.

Mints are always welcome, and lately I'm seeing a lot of the antiseptic hand gel for the paranoid. The oddest find on the floor: those blue condoms (forgot the company). Plastic toys with fuzz for hair go straight to the kids, as does 75% of the stuff I take home.

I'm using a branded eZmanager.com blue mouse on top of a userplane.com mouse pad right now.

those fuckin missile things, mostly brought on by copeac.. I got hit twice last ASW by those and I had no idea where they were coming from lol

also I really digg USB Hubs, using one right now that (I think it was Sohan) gave me at ad-tech bc he had gotten 3-4 of them haha

oh you mean the business card drawings that then end up harvesting a ton of leads for someone to cold call and the prize awarded 'randomly' to one of their friends/affiliates/clients?
