Cool shit to ask for for Christmas

I'm asking for this:

Books. Books, and then books.

Books, especially the nerdy computer science variant can be pretty expensive. I'd gladly have someone else handle that.

You can also use this to get your hands on some material you'd like to look into (accounting / business / marketing / psychology / any new hobby?) But find the books too expensive to buy for just a looksy.

::emp::

Oh, did I mention books?

I always ask for a book they recommend I read. For something more expensive with the $500 max I'd ask for some cool shit that you probably wouldn't run to the store to buy, but it's cool to have.

and yeah, calling the dood a spoiled brat when he told his parents he doesn't want anything cause he's grateful for what he has + he's making his own bank in IM, ur definitely hating. u 'mirin his life brah??

the fuck, do you speak english?

Lol I don't lie about it. My mom be like ya'll bitch ass be smokin' the righteous shit ain't ya been sonny? And I'm like "Damn right I be smokin' copious amounts of that righteous shit, shit, I goin out right now to blaze"

My mom thinks I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not.

So she cool story bros me.

True story.

whoa....

I am 17 which means I still "get" Christmas. My mom has been bothering me about what I want(obviously she likes to get shit done early). I have made enough money from IM that I have been able to buy anything I really wanted/needed. I am not saying I am making a shit-load, but its been a modest amount over the past year. So, I told her I don't need anything and that I am very grateful for everything they do for me, especially giving me a car in May. She will not take that for an answer. She wants a friggin list, as do my relatives.

So, I need some cool shit I can ask for for Christmas. I am trying to avoid anything high-ticket. I am talking like 20-50$ range, and maybe one thing that's like 500$ MAX. I have no idea what I want.

Yeah same problem for me... last couple years my parents have had a lot of problems with Christmas since I just buy the stuff I really want with my own money.

But they are usually pretty creative and find stuff that I wouldn't think of getting but really improve my quality of life.

Your parents bought you your first car.

You are a spoiled brat, especially if it was new. If it was a family car, you get a pass.

Not a big deal, just saying.
I never asked for a car, and was perfectly content with getting a hand-me-down car (or just buying my own) but my Dad got me a nice car. When they got me one, I was genuinely thankful for it. How does that make me a spoiled brat?

That wasn't helpful at all. Any examples?

I just tell my parents to find something that they think I would appreciate.

They know me better than anybody else in the world and can think of things that they know I'd appreciate.

Things I've received that I've appreciated in the past:
- My Dad going on a golfing trip with me in North Carolina where we golfed at a ton of really nice courses.

- When I was living with them I got a Christmas present from my sister where she'd do my share of the dishes/laundry/etc. until I left for college.

- My dad going to get my oil changed for me.

- My mom finding this brand/flavor of potato chips I really like (but are no longer sold in the area) and buying 6 big bags of them for me.

Really at this point I appreciate gifts that involve donating time far more than gifts involving donating money.
