Shock collars cause about as much discomfort as a pull on the lead.

Then maybe I'd be ok with it, providing the owner's willing to wear one for a day to verify that.

That would require me buying a second collar, which I'm not gonna do. It's illegal in the UK to not keep a collar on your dog.

That sucks. Not even when you're washing the dog or crating him?

Damn the UK sucks.

Just grab a length of nylon cord and put it around your neck for a whole day then. Should have the same basic effect.
