Looks like the consensus why people like AM: challenging, flexible, and profitable.
The other reason I'm trying to find something else to do is because my wrist are so owned from years of abuse infront of comp (even though I'm only 24). Luckily hiring workers mitigated the problem. Also what prompt me with this question is because I haven't been as successful as I hope I'd be by now, I haven't gotten back to the earnings I had in 2006, just kind of lost my drive.
I do agree with people should partner up, because I have this tendency of having some fantastic ideas, but they never come to fruitition because of inaction. I was lucky enough to find a partner earlier this year that motivated me to start one of my ideas, so hopefully next year will be a better year and maybe I'll regain my passion in AM that I've lost.
Narsticle: the other industry that offers the same kind of rush, money, and flexibility is active trading. One of my friends who was okay in adult AM, but became an options trader (with his own money) makes a lot more money then he made in AM. The kind of money that active traders make probably dwarfs any amount that an AM makes, but it may hold a greater risk, but that's part of the fun.
Nice post Smaxor.
