Donald Trump is mad as hell

And being worth negative $900 million is a good thing at any time?
I'd say it makes him uniquely qualified to the position of handling our multi-Trillion dollar negative bank account here in America. -Seriously, no one in charge of our national purse-strings has ever had a similar experience before, nor with a track record for getting out of it.

Bet his creditors were sweating bricks.
Oh they were... I remember the stories... But instead of him going belly up and declaring bankruptcy, he busted his ass and all those creditors are rich {people/banks/investors/mobsters} today.

He just says what's obvious. How come we let China do business here with zero restrictions, when we can't do business there? Fuck, I wouldn't do business with communists period. There's a paradox for you.

I'd vote for him in a heartbeat, get off the Ron Paul wagon you idiots, it'll never happen. Respect to Trump for saying that the U.S. has become a laughing stock in the eyes of China and the rest of the world. They're literally waging economic warfare on us and the people are too stupid to notice. Why would people vote for him without any track record of government experience? Because they believe him.

Wow. HB said something that wasn't totally insane.

This day is going down in my journal.

Want a more obvious paradox?

How about the fact that Trump is proudly waving the banner to rally Against sending jobs abroad, meanwhile he's running as a Repug.

I kinda doubt he'll get that (R) beside his name for 2012. Shame.

Bought this book from the Dollar tree ~6-7 years ago and was surprisingly impressed by what he had to say. I wished he would have run back then. I think he waited until the perfect time now though since the lines between politricks and celebrity are starting to disappear.

It's funny, because in this book or another one, he talks about being $900 million in the hole and having a bum ask him for change and thinking to himself that the bum had $900 million dollars more than him. I just wish he would do something less gay with his hair so I could take him more seriously.

I had no idea he was so politically and economically naive.

Someone who says "Sure the banks and other people did bad stuff but oil prices were just as responsible for the economic collapse" should never ever run for office.

He should really take an Economics 101 class, or at least google comparative advantage.

I'm pretty sure he took Economics 101 prior to or when attending the Wharton School of Business.

I think that you are looking it the wrong way around, he got himself into a $900 million debt in the first place and did it just the same way that he still does business and the way the bankers ruined the economy with highly speculative leverage.

He didn't go belly up and declare bankruptcy not down to his own hard work or ass busting, but because the debt was too large for the creditors to foreclose on (I don't think was down to business genius or it was purposely structured it that way). Had they foreclosed on him he would have had to declare bankruptcy. Don't really get your logic.

The man plays fast and loose, just like the wall street bankers. Definitely not someone to be trying to fix the economy.

Also if he has a strategy for restoring balance of trade and creating more jobs for Americans he can do this without insulting a whole nation (China), this is definitely not in the interest of world politics and peace. If he ever becomes president think about the strain in relations between the US and China over his comments. After all what has China really done wrong except to give the world cheaper goods (except for human rights issues, which isn't being debated here). Surely that is the sole aim of capitalism.

Oh, and since when does the US care if it is a laughing stock around the world???

Why not? I see no reason that if you changed the Role of any of those bankers that helped bring us down, they couldn't do some good for their new cause.

It's like you're saying that since Steelworkers are sometimes convicted of murder, it's impossible that a steelworker could be a good politician.

These guys have the skills we need, but our capitalist society has given them reason to use it for selfish means, not to help.

What has China done? Are you serious?

Dude, I'm not even going to attempt to answer that trollquest. :batman:

I will only say that all politicians to date have been SCARED SHITLESS to address the problems with china and where we are directly headed because of them... I really admire this about Trump. So what if he "strains" our relations... China deserves no less, and frankly a hell of a lot more.

we had one (a biznessman in the whitehouse) for 8 years and he ran shit into the ground.
Umm, then we need a competent businessman in the whitehouse? One who's made a billion bucks and not family money?

Complete apples and oranges.

A seriously successful capitalist =/= a good man to run a country

Please elaborate, I am not trolling. I understand that China's cheap goods and currency devaluing are not good for the US balance of trade, but I am not sure why this means that China has purposely caused the US harm. Surely they are doing what every capitalistic nation does and looks after it's own interests. Does the US not just print money when it wants?

Addressing the issue about China is one thing, but insulting a fellow superpower is not the right way to fix problems. Last thing the US needs is another president who couldn't give a shit about the rest of the world and is willing to go to war over money (again).

He's got baggage that others won't that's for sure.... and the benefit of no voting record.... except for the fact that he's donated to both parties.

If nothing else though he will change the tone of the campaign if he runs. Can you imagine him and Sarah Palin in a debate :)

I'm a little ignant of Trump but haven't a lot of his businesses been failing/going bankrupt for these past few years? Not trolling and I'd like a serious answer.

sometimes its better to support a candidate thats already a self made millionaire

rather than a candidate that wants to be president so he can make millions

comparing trump to bush is laughable. bush is a family of warmongering oilmen. I see a big difference in motivations for wanting to run a country here.

at any rate, I'd wager on this being a publicity stunt

^This. Trump hustled his fucking balls off. The Art of the Deal is a classic in American business and despite the fact that he came from money, he was worth something like 200K when he first moved to Manhattan back in the day. The next couple of decades we are going to need people with balls of steel looking towards the future to lead the country. Not people still hung up on the past.
