Does she deserve to be charged with a felony? Yes, but she doesn't deserve and won't end up being sentenced with a felony. She broke a law classified as a felony. Being drunk is not an excuse, if it, were I wouldn't have gotten into any of the the trouble I have during my life.

Will she end up with a felony on her record? No, this will likely plead down to a misdemeanor because 1.) it's her first offense 2.) she's white and moderately cute 3.) she has a college degree.

She fucked up, even though she was fucked up, and now she has to play the legal game. That will probably be a better lesson for her future than most of the things she was taught in school.
 
I feel sorry for her. I obviously don't personally know her, but I'm sure she isn't a bad person. Just drank too much and made a stupid mistake, which she will pay for her. But I highly doubt she will end up with a felony.
 
Getting shot seems like she's already learned her lesson, certainly won't do it again. Isn't that enough?
 
Two things. I like that the husband's last name is Justice and the law is called Make My Day.

Maybe she could make amends by doing community service. And by community service I mean blowjobs. :)

I think in this case the home owners took protection under the law and just shot her. They could have exercised some discretion because clearly this young women wasn't a threat to their lives in any manner.

The just shot her because the could. Which is utter bullshit.
