Drunk college girl shot while trespassing now faces felony charges

I think in this case the home owners took protection under the law and just shot her. They could have exercised some discretion because clearly this young women wasn't a threat to their lives in any manner.

The just shot her because the could. Which is utter bullshit.

Did you watch the video? You can hear in the 911 call "She kept trying to come in the bedroom so we shot her."

I don't know about you, but if someone enters my home in the middle of the night and is trying to force themselves into my bedroom, I'm going to shoot their ass with no regard to race, sex, religion, etc.

You're a threat to mine and my family's lives and my property as soon as you enter without invitation.

Hahhaha when I read this, I thought "... hmm must be a CU-Boulder story" and YUP it is!

Yeah Go BUFFS. ahhh I love my school.

So they should have made their way past the possibly armed intruder in their dark bedroom to the light switch by the door, then conducted an interview about her intent before deciding to shoot or not?

Logic, right?

WF I'm disappointed in you. All of you fuckers have your priorities all fucked up and shit.

If your skin is {black|white} and you are {sober|drunk}, especially if you are {male|female}, and you {stumble|walk|trip|fall|enter|cross|come} into my {home|residence|dwelling|office|bathroom|closet|kitchen} unannounced during the middle of the {day|night|summer|winter} Im going to greet you with two rounds center mass. Therefore; I will in turn be saving you from any type of future {breathing|breeding|felonies|ability to randomly freak {me|someone else|my neighbors|my grandma} the fuck out by trespassing.

YOU FORGOT A } ON THE SECOND TO LAST BLOCK. FUCK!

You know damn well that things would have gone down quite differently if Mrs. Justice would not have been home that night... Oh I bet he's pissed!

Actually, it isn't. Her right to not be shot ended the instant she decided however drunkenly to break into someone else's home.

That's what I was thinking. They did say that about 15 college girls a year stumble into the wrong house in the middle of the night because they're drunk. I think those are better odds than the lotto.

Not sure if any of you will believe me but this shit happened to me in college. A fucking drunk COMPLETELY NAKED chick walked into our apartment while we were all asleep and just crashed on our lazyboy.

She was passed out. It took us forever to convince her she was at the wrong place. She was not all that hot, maybe a 5/10. But it was funny anyway.

PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN...

I wonder, if you were of college age then did it ever occur to you to stick your cock in her mouth?

My roommate and I weren't the rapist type really. But of course I gawked for a while. I was actually kinda concerned she could have been raped or drugged or something. But turns out there were just some extreme parties going on in an apartment nearby.

When I was like 19 or 20, I was visiting a buddy who was going to UCSD. We were all smashed, end up fighting my best friend.. We both go back inside all bloodied up, my shirts practically ripped in half & pass out. I wake up to cops carrying me.. I'm obv confused, like "what are you doing". They tell me that the owner has no idea who I am.. I collect myself, stand up, turn around.. Old man in a bathrobe in the doorway of the unit they took me out of. So I apologize & we start walking.. Cops are laughing kinda fucking with me like "so how much did you have to drink last night?".. I go "Maybe 3 beers?" We round the corner and my buddy I got in a fight with is face down in the middle of the hallway. We all start cracking up, they tell me to get him and go pass out.

TLDR: I wandered into the wrong apartment in a blackout, passed out on their couch.

No. You're basically saying we should only enforce laws we like.

Actually, I think he is saying the Jury should have the discretion to acquit criminal defendants who are technically guilty, but who do not deserve punishment. It occurs in a trial when a jury reaches a verdict contrary to the judge's instructions as to the law.

I know this kind of concept sounds crazy to those who have swallowed hook line and sinker that the law is some inmutable-god-sent thing that should be followed in a hard ass manner. You know, the doctrine sold by the judicial-prison complex and cheerleaded by those who are trying to turn America into a prison state. But never mind me; keep rooting for hard ass laws, one day you'll have 3x the prison population of china.

We already have that right. It's called jury nullification.
