I'm saying if I served on the jury I'd use my powers of nullification. Accidentally walking into the wrong house should hardly constitute a crime. Home owner should sue her if he's got a problem. Or, here's a fucking idea, lock the goddamn door. That's how I keep out drunk coeds.

Prosecutorial discretion gives plenty of room to plead her out with a simple fine taking into account that getting shot is a pretty damn strong punishment.

Further, this shouldn't be a criminal matter. Total waste of the courts time.

Bullshit?

There was a case here very recently in Detroit where a 14 year old kid was drunk and high on PCP and broke into a family's home just the same. Unlike the cute female and the homeowner, the homeowner in Detroit tried to talk to the 14 year old. The 14 year old ended up tackling the man of the home and started to physically bite and try to eat him. The adult man was able to break free , grab a shotgun and shot the kid before he passed out of blood loss.

What did the news report? That a poor teen was killed by a evil homeowner for setting foot on his property. Only a few months later did the real story come out where this kid was trying to literally eat the homeowner. The media in the US is full of liars who refuse to report news, or jump on a bandwagon to promote an agenda.

Oh come on. Who here hasn't tried to eat another man while he was still alive when they were a kid. Kids gonna be kids doesn't mean he should have shot him to death. I hope that home owner gets the needle.

Isn't that the point of laws in the first place? To reflect the preferences of a society?? Do they serve some purpose or do they merely exist for the hell of it?

Here it seems the application of the law is arbitrary and perhaps not being carried out in furtherance it's original spirit and intended use. Applied rigidly and technically to advance no real public purpose. Is this justice? I suppose that is now a question for a jury to decide...
 
I don't understand why people get so drunk that they don't even know where the heck they're going....

I'll never understand people who get blackout drunk. I know when to stop drinking when I start acting like an idiot and dancing like a crazy baboon. Yet, I always have control over myself, where I go, and basic decision making abilities. To get drunker than that is just stupid.

In the case of women, they are in a society that doesn't encourage female promiscuity. So, many need an excuse to act like the sweet little sluts that they are.. enter booze.. the perfect excuse.

Agree with the general point you're making...but have you ever spent a few years living the typical US college life? The entire goal of many people for 2-3 days of the week IS to get "drunker than that".

I'm just glad I made it out alive and avoided major bodily injuries over the years, many people aren't as fortunate like this chick. I have drank progressively less each year after my 21st birthday...interesting how that works too lol. At 27 I hardly drink anymore and get buzzed off a few beers, at 21 i needed to start the night with a few sparks and a 12 pack before hitting the bars. Yikes. also lol at them banning all of those drinks now. Ya'll thought four loco was cray, ya'll don't know bout that sparks black label WHAT

This is the kind of crap that really fucking ticks me off... Especially when they do it against Honest Ron, but just the same... What we need is a way to penalize them for this misbehavior... Some kind of Moody's rating system in the public view that rates the truthfulness of a network's past stories over time...

Because as it is every time I see a news story anymore (yearly or so now) it just pisses me off that I can see right through their lies and the truth is usually the opposite of what they are trying to report... 100% of the time.

Think about it; Right now people are going to polls across the state of Texas to vote for... Who?

The MSM told them that Paul quit, and Romney's running unapposed... So um, why show up and vote?

Clearly every voter there will be a Paul voter. And this time we've got people at the polls counting the Paul voters on exit, having them sign affidavits swearing that they did in fact vote Paul.

So when the numbers come in tonight saying that R$ won by a landslide, guess what happens next?
 
Can we PUHLEASE not turn this thread into a "Ron Paul is getting shafted by MSM" thread too? I like him as much as the next guy, but fuck all talk about something else.
