The only reason he gives a shit about that show is because he gets to use it as a platform to share his beliefs. I mean, the guy stood up Barbara Walters to go hunting. If they completely pulled the show entirely, he would give approximately -0.42 fucks.
He shared his religion's viewpoint on sin before he went on to also share his religion's viewpoint that he was not the judge of people and that he didn't treat people differently over it. Seeing GLAAD say shit in response like the Bible doesn't condemn homosexuality was hilarious.
I'm not religious by any means, but it's pretty obvious that his alleged "suspension" is a win-win situation for both him and A&E. He gets to say to hell with the show and still benefit from its popularity with the demographic he's trying to reach (possibly more now than before), and A&E gets to make it look like they are so PC that they stood up to someone on their most popular show.
