Enjoying Your Steak?

Yes, the State Police gave me a special transport tag and my hardcore deer hunting buddy has got all the gear to process it up. Actually gave a bunch of the meat that I don't care for (neck roasts, etc.) to the local soup kitchen.

have some friends that did this. they saw a nearly-dead deer on the shoulder of the road, so they go home and decide to walk out to it, shirtless, carrying M-16 semiautomatics. Brought it home and cleaned it in their garage while some guys who were high looked on and thought they were dragging a dead body (bunch of shirtless guys with guns, in the dark, pulling back a lifeless thing)

That's pure hillbilly :).

Buy Halal or Kosher meat. The method of execution is a bit more humane than this. Also, as an alternative, check out quails - it doesn't matter how you kill them because there's so many of them.

I love steaks, thanks for asking,

Racks of ribs are especially delicious,

Bacon is pretty awesome by itself too,

Heck, I don't even mind cow the occasional cow toe nail and left over skin,

Sensitive people will be shocked and perhaps choose to change their diet, but overall - you'll never have a consciousness change over a man's love of meat, ever.

It was already pointed out that this is most likely a Kosher slaughterhouse... or one of the very few that does things this way. It's not the norm.

OMG. IS THIS REAL?

IM NO LONGER EATING MEAT, THANKS OP.

i think i just pucked a little.

but don't they shoot them in the head first with a huge rod? how old is this video?

that was some crazy ass shit. but hey where else can you see some shit like that and talk about where to place an offer except on WF. So hey keep the crazy shit coming!!:321:

did not watch. don't get why they don't use the simple high-voltage high-current jolt like in many humane slaughterhouses that kills on contact (not just renders them unconscious), or the quick mallet to the head like the old days. this seems unnecessarily gruesome, inhumane, and also not very cost-effective with all of the machinery involved.

call me a pussy but this is why I don't mind getting meat from a place that has humane treatment, even if it costs more.

I have no problem eating meat - but inhumane treatment of animals is wrong. That's one job I couldn't take with a clean conscience.

Agree with every bit of what you just said.

And also,

Now I really want a hamburger. :(

at the same time, that's nature, you know? a wild animal can still put up a fight or attempt escape. this isn't nature.

think I'll be buying meat at whole foods from now on. Plus the founder/CEO is libertarian, so more incentive for me. Good treatment of employees (no unions too), good treatment of the animals

LOVE wholefoods. (damn papa, you're on a roll today with the turbo love)

Check out their generic peanutbutter. Get this, it's made out of crushed peanuts and.... that's it. AND it's delicious! Who would have thunk it?

It's interesting that some people care if an animal is slaughtered humanely and some don't, and what causes that difference. I wonder if they were there to witness it in person vs video would they care.

I have watched my in-laws in Asia slit the neck of a live pig with a machete. I still ate it a couple hours later after it was done roasting over a fire. It was delicious.

It wasn't a nice way to kill the cow, but the cow is going to die either way right?

Did they ask it how it would like to be killed, I don't think they did as it doesn't really matter.... it ends up the same way.
