Enjoying Your Steak?

That shit did not render them unconscious, after the throat was slit and trachea pulled out, they let them go, and they are STILL trying to get away. Sickening.

exactly my problem with this. Eating meat is not inherently bad. Treating animals like this, is. If you're going to kill them, do it humanely. Even back in the 1800s, stockyards did things in one quick blow.

Holy Cow! All the Hindus are going to get a heart attack at how their "Holy Mother" is treated.

PS: I love steak.

Eat them both faggot, that way you will die sooner.

also, mcdonalds = not even real meat. But I know thats close enough in the land of mindless consumption strips malls and shithole convenience(dallas).

Just so you guys know, the vast majority of animals slaughtered in the US does not go down like that. That is an example of a Kosher slaughter... where the animal must be conscious during slaughter according to Jewish dietary laws.

In most slaughterings, the animal is rendered unconscious w/ a bolt gun, then bled out. Peta (and the like) get a hold of these videos, then spam them out to the public like this is what goes on in 100% of slaughterhouses. That's just not the case. This is just an example of silly archaic religion adhering to idiotic practices that made sense hundreds or thousands of years ago, but make absolutely no sense in current times.

Personally, I blame religion for that unnecessarily brutal slaughter.

Google for the PETA Chinese fur trade video, that is fucking brutal and is exactly what they use for soft toys.

I live in an area with a lot of ranching and I've never seen a cow slaughtered like what was in the video and it didn't seem like a very economical way to kill them not to mention it got a lot of blood all over the hides which is usually something they try to prevent. I think Kylier is probably on to the real explanation.

The reality is most ranchers treat their cows like their own children and invest a lot into them and really do care about them like pets, even the big ranches. Vegans watch these unique videos and seem to jump to a lot of conclusions about how cattle and pigs are treated instead of going to an actual ranch and seeing for themselves. Cows although destined to die for meat live a pretty sweet life and although preserving the meat and hides is a huge factor in how they die, a lot of research goes into making sure they die in a humane way because typically ranches are family businesses and kids are usually present which goes the same for slaughter houses.

wow, what in the fuck - how can this be kosher?

This is why I purchased steak directly from local grass fed ranchers. At least they seem authentic when they preach how cows releases toxins when living and killed in a stressful state.

One downside about grass fed beef is the leanness. I miss 45 aged steaks with all that fatty goodness.

Free range chickens, turkeys, cows, and pigs all bought in long island, ny. The trip is about 2-3 hours but purchasing 60 lbs of meat helps make the trip less tedious :D

Meh, people slaughter animals all over the world by slitting their throats, and have done for thousands of years. As was pointed out, this isn't the norm in modern day slaughter houses though. Blame the Jews.

Jeebus H. Kryst.

What the fuck. When did Wickedfire start giving shit like this attention. Lately we have been infiltrated by germ-a-phobes, tree huggers, and the like.

Yes, it sucks that the cows are processed like that. It sucks that animals, any animals, have to suffer. But goddamnit, they are so TASTY!!

Spend more money and buy organic meats, instead of the 10 pounds of grade F meat on sale, managers special, for 5 bucks.

I guess you could say that the take away here is - Be thankful you are on top of the food chain.

OP - Quit posting stupid shit like this here...

I believe mcdonalds does serve real "meat" but it is what the suppliers do to the meat in terms of cleansing that is worrisome.

:banana_sml:

did you bring it home and eat it afterward like a real man?

Yes, the State Police gave me a special transport tag and my hardcore deer hunting buddy has got all the gear to process it up. Actually gave a bunch of the meat that I don't care for (neck roasts, etc.) to the local soup kitchen.
