shit like this that gives lawyers a bad name. or....it could be the other dumb shit lawyers do. But this still is insane.
If this man has so much trouble controlling his emotions (that beating was done out of rage), how the fuck is he expected to be objective and free of bias in the court of law? Pathetic.
Sorry I don't want to be a virtual white knight. My mom and stepdad gave me beatings that make this one look like a cake-walk.
She got hit with a belt, so what? Beside myself and my siblings, most of my friends got the same shit. Guess what? I would not admit it then, but I will now, we all deserved it. I would not change a thing about my childhood.
If she would have just turned over it would have been over in 10 seconds. I used to do the same shit, I know the game she is playing. She was being disobedient under her dads roof.
Until she's 18 she has to go by her dads rules, if she doesn't like it, move.

If you have to beat your child with a belt over extended periods of time you're failing pretty hard at parenting. I'm not saying kids don't need a smack here and there but to fucking take turns beating your child about the arms, legs, and ass with a belt and saying things like "hold on I didn't get my licks in", then you have some SERIOUS fucking issues. This beating was clearly an outlet for this faggots inner rage, it was about him releasing anger and not disciplining his child.
But the point is, it would have been over in 10 secs if she just took her belt whip when asked to turn around. It's almost like she was craving attention in a sad, sick way ( probably not her fault) by extending this beating by not listening to simple direct english. Turn the fuck around.
Because teaching a child that physical violence is a proper response to someone doing something they don't agree with is clearly healthy and can't go wrong.
What??? You don't beat someone who is smaller and weaker than you, and call it "raising" your kid properly. Doing that shit doesn't even work on a dog, so why would anyone think it's going to work on a human? If the guy wanted to show someone who's boss, he should have picked a fight with a 220lbs MMA wrestler, not his 16yo daughter.
I said not her fault, probably the parents. Lots of girls have daddy issues(some go on to become strippers) and the belt whipping is the least of the problems.
Could stem from no time together,no family dinners,not enough hugs, no I love yous. laugh , but I am srs.

And Size is irrelevant, he's her dad and she is a minor living under his roof. my mom was 5 foot 2 and beat the shit out of me when I was out of line. Of course it was not common and it took me pushing her to that boiling point( I knew what I was doing) and I bet this girl knew too.

There are lots of different ppl in the world that do things VERY DIFFERENTLY from each other. My wifes parents have not only never hit any of their children, but whenever any of their kids misbehaved, they took it as a challenge to help them overcome it in the long term, and by their mid teens, they succeeded. All through positive reinforcement and leading by example.
American parents pretty much don't lead by example, so that's really reason #1 that this country is so fucked up. (But the pharma industry isn't complaining much.)
You see, EVERY misbehavior by a child is a kind of rebellion of the child against bad parenting. Seriously. Name any instance of any child acting out, and it can be traced back to something lazy or ignorant on the part of their parents. Every. Last. Time.
Siding with the father makes you accept this shitty world as it is, wanting it to continue, and therefore perpetuate the problem more. You really shouldn't settle for a plate of shit when you can ask for filet mignon!

Your post makes sense and I agree with positive reinforcement. I just don't think this "beating" was that bad. I guess I see some of myself in her and know what shes trying to pull when not listening to authority. Just turn around, I did the same shit, as I said.
Another thing to note.... We only know what we see on video. This could be only 5% of the story for better or worse.
