Flying to US - need advices

Hey guys,

This is gonna be my first trip to US, Amsterdam - New York and I need some advices because this is also my first flight until now.
Let's say that I have a little bit of "yaaar!!" software in my laptop, like my OS *cough*.

Some say that in US airports security is shit, overexagerating with everything like checking your laptop for "bad stuff". I hope I won't make any bomb jokes, but shall I take the risk ? I have some valuable shit in my laptop.

Any advices ? Please take this serious, trolling is not gonna help. I'm fucking scared a bit to be honest.
 


Don't worry, be calm, make sure you've done ESTA. Tell them dchuk sent you.

I have never had my computer inspected by American border agents. Even if they inspected yours, how would they know your OS is pirated? And do you think they'd really care?
 
Here's some advice...

Don't tweet "Gonna destroy America" to your friends before you fly over here.
 
I can almost guarantee that they will not turn on your laptop. They are more concerned with what you could be hiding in between the medal.

I highly doubt that they would even be able to tell that your laptop had anything out of the norm, even if they did turn it on. They are trained to look for bombs and drugs... and they aren't the greatest even with that.
 
Lulz @ airport sec checking your software licences.

I have been asked to turn my laptop on by security to ensure it was actually a laptop. Not sure what they would have done if it had no charge..
 
True story:

Like 12 years old, password was "nigger" for my desktop. Shit breaks, take it to repair shop. Guys black, asks me for my pw.........I spell it out..........
 
you worry about your software? its the rectal examination I would worry about.
they also have this thing that looks into your eye and can drain your soul.

but really - if the only thing you have to worry about is the software you will not have a problem.

TSA employees are trained? Surely they're just swept off the street, shoehorned into an XXXXL uniform and given wide mandates to harass people whose social and financial status they can never dream to achieve.

If thats true, thats pretty funny. I would of loved to of been waiting in line behind you laughing.
 
I was detained at Dulles for 16 hours last March when one of the TSA agents inspected my laptop and determined that I had violated the end-user agreement for Snood. Apparently, Dave has some friends in high places.

I spent 2 years in Gitmo because I removed a tag from a mattress prior to its ultimate purchase by the end consumer.
