Yeah, let's send even more money to the highly efficient federal government.

The CEO of Overstock was on the radio today and he said Target and Walmart are behind this crap.
I'm surprised intelligent people choose to live in California. Is the beach and nice weather really that important? Maybe they are not so smart after all...

Yea... I live in the midwest and pretty much everything is only a 2-3 hour plane flight for me. My cost of living is also about 1/2 of what it would be in California. I also have no desire to live near a beach. Maybe I'll get a villa near the ocean in Europe some day, but probably not in the US. Sailing around the pacific and Atlantic just isn't the same as the Adriatic or Mediterranean.Vegas is 4 hours away, SD is an hour away, LA is an hour away, and the mountains are 2 hours away.

About the comments on Wal-Mart et al. being the big pushers for this, happened across this recently that I thought was pretty interesting:

Makes the whole "unfair competition against small business" argument, which is invalid from the get go anyway, downright funny. I wonder if people who say that realise who the big pushers behind this cause are.
