Fuck It - I bought a motorcycle

As a long time motorcyclist, I say congrats.

Like someone else said...ride it like you stole it. Don't think about the stats...or you will fuck yourself up. Keep your head on a swivel and always be aware of what's going on around you and you will be fine. :D

Remember; there are only two speeds when you ride a bike if you are doing it right - fast and OMFG FAST!!

Have fun and keep it sunny side up

Congrats. I recently gave into the temptation too and got myself a Kawasaki Ninja 250 to learn on. Ride like you're invisible and stay safe.

Ride like you're invisible and stay safe.
Quite possibly the most fucking retarded advice I have ever seen given to a new motorcyclist...and by a fucking newb as well. Oh well...with that attitude you won't be around long to dish out more shit advice to other new bike riders.

Be as visible as possible. Most fucktards in their steel cages have got no fucking idea you are there at the best of times.

Buy good equipment, good boots, good helmet that fits properly, good jacket and gloves as well as leather pants or those Kevlar reenforced pants (like Draggin). Don't leave the house in shorts or a t shirt...when you hit the road, you hit it hard.

Go get some riding instruction and take some advanced riding classes. You live longer, you'll enjoy your riding more, you will be a better rider...and more importantly, you will live to ride a long time.

Enjoy and don't listen to the fucktards.

I think you misinterpreted what I meant by "Ride like your invisible", I meant ride like people don't see you (which half the time they don't) and be more aware.

I read it as a super retarded thing to say as well but get your point now.

Nice taste. I'm not into streetbikes anymore. Dirtbikes now FTW, but that is a good looking bike. I'm sure the muffler works great.

Where's the front fender?

Awesome looking bobber! I'm also looking for Harley at the moment and planning to build it bobber style.

@LTJeremy bobbers don't have front fenders

I'm taking a the MSF and already bought some nice gear. Full face Simpson helmet, gloves, boots, etc. I know I will look like an idiot to some people wearing my full face helmet but I really could give a shit less, I'm not going to face plant and not have some protection around my jaw.

BTW, my friend let me ride his older Harley around a large lot yesterday. It went pretty well for my first time out. Just soo many controls to learn and your mind starts working a little bit, but toward the end of the session, I was much better, take turns, speeding up, stopping harder, etc.

Thats a mean bike you have their - just make sure you're careful on it. Many people are killed each year both from bikers being careless as well as other road users being careless. Be careful.
