It's funny how anonymity turns otherwise rational human beings into high schoolers with bursts of misguided vitriol (and unaddressed insecurities).

If you can't actually relate to my original post, why the hate? ;) Granted, I was absolutely shit-hammered when I wrote it, but it did come from a very real place.

If you dont care about race, why even bring it up? The only people I have ever scene bring up how they dont care about their race, heritage, culture, blah blah blah are typically the ones that care a great deal more.


When I read a WF post I never consider the race of the poster (unless blatantly pointed out). You are simply identified by your avatar, and username. If I met you in real life you would be that mixed guy that I hang out with, and I would be the white guy you hang out with. Its just the way of the world.

1) When did I ever say I don't care about race? I simply said I didn't associate with any particular race until I was in my teens and people started expecting me to act "black."

2) My only beef with culture is this: If people expect you to play along with whatever culture is attached to your skin color at the moment, and you refuse - you're often criticized or condescended to. Likewise, if people believe your behavior fits within the comfy little realm of their favored culture and you suddenly do something that goes against that, it throws them off and they don't like that either.

The things people attach their personal identity to. It's like they have a death grip on it. It's pathetic.
