did they call you to warn you beforehand?
What is comcast? Do you mean Xfinity?
LOL Fuck that, thats not even an unmetered 10mbit right there. If you're paying the usual comcast rate of 50$ or more on internet, you're being raped big time.
I remember when I had roadrunner cable a few years back (back when 1.5mbit was like the fast stuff residential), they tried to shut me off for using too much bandwidth... on my unlimited plan.

You should always have a min. of two pipes coming out of your house from different providers, unless you happen to live in Bumblefuck, Idaho and can only get 1. But in general, one should serve as a hard-lined backup, right to your router, so if/when one goes down, the other is ready to roll. You can also split bandwidth between both. For the $100-$200 a month in costs it's a no brainer.
Always do TWO of everything in business, minimum.
The 1TB/mo was mainly me using RDP. Unfortunately WinAutomation requires a computer with a monitor for it to be able to make clicks and none of my Windows servers have monitors.
By shutting you off, it saves them from having to upgrade infrastructure in your area for about 5 yrs + they can sign up about 20 more people who use a fraction of that.
Also, check out Broadbandreports if you haven't already. A lot of the level 2+ techs for various ISPs are on there.
