Games sure have come a long way...

Anyone else just heard the title melody in their head?

I regularly hear that tune in my head when I decide to venture outside of the house, once or twice a year. :485:

Another tune that brings back memories: (Think they've used this theme in some variant across almost all of the FF titles)

heh, I remember those things. Whew, did the noise they make ever piss my mom off while we were in the car for a long drive.

I loved the sound of those.

Didn't know you we're an old fuck like me. :)

Anyone remember Joust with the flying ostriches?

I actually just replayed Metroid, Super Metroid and Zelda Link to the Past a few months back. Nostalgia roms ftw. And I was a beast in SSF2 with Chun-Li.

Did anyone else used to think if you put the gun controller directly on the television, you would have more accuracy?

Also, cinematic scenes in gaming have become very impressive. This is by far the best video game fight scene:

Whoops, if it is sorry about that. Although if push came to shove I'd link to Chinese scat sites for ExciteBike. Build your own track?!

Lol, yea - that was pure win. I remember wasting entire weekends building tracks.

How many of you remember using your hands on this little bastard? Haha.

Never played it on the NES (though I rented it once, but they didn't have the pad and I only figured out I couldn't play it without the pad after I got home and sat there for 10 minutes pressing buttons on my controller, frustrated and confused) but I did play it in the arcade, and it was fun as fuck. (now that I think about it, maybe I could have played it with a controller, and I just wasn't pressing my buttons fast enough to move, since you have to press them so rapidly... hmm)

Also I am pleased that someone posted Joust, and Altered Beast. Glorious.
