Gas prices really suck!

Unleaded petrol in UK is now at 111.9p per litre and rising. This is equivalent to $2.24 per litre. I filled up my tank yesterday costing $93 for my peogeot 307.

Man thats well cheap....if we convert litres to gallons in UK...that is $10.19 per gallon....its supposed to rise to around $13.64 per gallon soon.

I know it... filled up the Touareg last week to the tune of $71.12 (11:1 compression requires premium). Thought I was going to hit the $75 limiter on the pump.

Thank god for the CBR and (if things get worse) the 1979 Peugeot roadbike

diesel in NW $4.37 a gallon but I dont care it makes people stay home and use internet is a good time for internet marketers

I just paid $1.419 AUD per liter *sigh*
Then again, thanks to the fuel efficiency I'm getting, I don't have to fill up more than once every 9-10 days. 10.8L/100k in the city, and as low as 6.8L/100k when I do some country driving.

I think we need diesel/electric hybrids now. Even though diesel is more expensive than regular gas, I believe the efficiency still beats it out. Combine that with a hybrid, and you're looking to kill the 46 MPG average that the Prius gets (real world, not EPA test BS).
