When I mentioned "plenty of content" I was referring to 1-pg arbitrage sites like these -- http://sellitallnow.net/gmortgages.html with basically no content. YPN is very critical of their ad network compared with Google. My YPN account got temporarily suspended last month during a review of one of my sites because the URL my ads were on looked as if I had no content. I am using a geo-target code that uses i-frames so when the YPN reviewer pulled up my separate url links that contain ads they basically came up with little to no content. I got an email stating that
"As you are aware, the Yahoo! Publisher Network
BetaProgram Policies require that your site be contentbased,
fully functional....blah, blah"
Once they pulled up the entire site and all the links they could see everything was fine. I'm not exactly sure how much content is enough but like I said, I'd be careful using a 1-page site like above. If you are unsure just send them an email and ask for a review. They are usually pretty quick and appreciate when publishers ask questions.
It sounds like you were running an iframe of just ads, which might not be a very good idea in general. YPN just looked at the iframe source and determined it wasn't good enough?
My sites have quite a bit more content than that mortgage site (which was being used by chrislingle to demonstrate arbitrage).
For going on volume, is it recommended to be specfiic in arbitrage sites or just stay vague with a ton of keywords. Like instead of simply "toyota cars" doing a specific toyota car. I'm not actually doing toyota for arbitrage, just trying to give an example
You really just have to do it and find out. For my sites, I do a mix a both. I have some that are really targeted and some that are somewhat general. You don't want to be too general and you don't want to be too specific.
There are always exceptions to the rule, so you have to find what works for you. Some really specific niches have tons of traffic and others don't.
