We all knew that google was "doing some evil" but today google has gone further than ever before. Much further. :batman:
According to Gizmodo, Google's new policy changes are a complete reversal of their previous position on privacy that did no evil, and they are therefore calling Google Evil, complete with this fun pic:
All the fuss is from google's new blog post today, where they outline the new privacy policy. Google says it had 70 freaking privacy policies and doing this change would restrict it down to just 10 policies. Sounds good, right? But sadly, they fail to tout the fact that this move connects all of your data across all of those previously separate accounts. ;(
So what does this mean for you? As gizmodo says:
Thankfully all of my many google accounts are anonymously named, even my G+ account. (somehow) So I don't think this will tie any of my accounts to my real life, but if it ever does I'll be out of G so fast it'll make their server melt.
What about you guys?

Cross-referencing this data is simply wrong. As advertisers most of you are drooling right now over the future possibilities, but as users I'd bet you guys are all thinking of ditching your google accounts, like I'm now considering....data from the things you search for, the emails you send, the places you look up on Google Maps, the videos you watch in YouTube, the discussions you have on Google+ will all be collected in one place. It seems like it will particularly affect Android users, whose real-time location (if they are Latitude users), Google Wallet data and much more will be up for grabs. And if you have signed up for Google+, odds are the company even knows your real name, as it still places hurdles in front of using a pseudonym (although it no longer explicitly requires users to go by their real names).
All of that data history will now be explicitly cross-referenced.
