It's not racism when the mention of race/religion ads to the punchline of a joke. This thread wasn't funny and claiming they were Indian didn't help.

In the extract that the OP has pasted, the guy spammer doesn't say that he's Indian.

I agree with this, my comment was more of a broad opinion of what's happening all over the board. He did assume though ... lets just self govern this stuff so that the powers that be don't have to make any drastic changes in the way this community behaves.

But lets face it an immense amount of IM, Email, Forum spam , commited by someone with either so-so english to just downright engrish, with names like Sumit, Shabit, Pham, are often assumed to be residing somewhere in the Southeast Asia area, even by those who swear on their mother's grave they are not racist.
