How many people live in CALIFORNIA?

^^ ha ha! I mean Waikiki is nice and all but it's arguably just as much fun as being able to walk to Pacific Beach...yet I pay almost twice as much.

was looking at this place earlier today on craigslist La Jolla Village - View

pretty sweet deal actually (not sure what your budget is like)

EDIT: i don't actually know if it is or not, but it looks nice and isn't a lot for la jolla from what friends living there have said

2/3 bed condos in calabasas (north of la) cost about 1400

CAVEAT: sometimes you might get a glimpse of

Why don't you just look at Craigslist?
Beware of Craig's List for rentals. They're higher than what you see at Westside Rentals. It's worth paying WR for better rental info.

What can you rent that's decent for under $1,000 in L.A. County? I'm guessing the further east and into the desert you go the cheaper it gets.

Waikiki is great, but for the long term I'd not want to be in such an isolated place. HI geographically is in the middle of nowhere.

~$1,300 / mo in DT Laguna Beach for a one BR, couple minute walk to beach.

I have a one bedroom home with ocean about 30 steps in Laguna Beach for 1250 per month. You pay for the weather, the ladies, and the ocean. California throws the smog and traffic in for free!

Hit me up with what part of Laguna. Im Cliff and PCH.

San Francisco, in the Marina.

1BR/$1900 month. Utilities included in rent and washer/dryer. Got a fairly large patio, too.

From where I live, it's only a 5-10 minute walk to the water.

Lived in another 1BR a few years ago, around Nob Hill for about $1400.

used to live in redondo beach(LA County..chill LA)....2 blocks from beach, had roommates, 675 plus utilities, coin op wash and dry, balcony no view, parking spaces

lived in another party house in RB and it was 800 bucks, 5 blocks from beach, balcony where you can see to malibu on a clear day...best view in Los Angeles....coin op wash/dry walking distance to ne thing i needed

i miss Cali :*(

Wikipedia says "36,961,664" people live in California as of 2009.

nice, I used to live at reed & jewell, then missouri & haines before that. being able to stumble home after the bars is nice, but now I have a place a football toss away from my house with hot bartenders and no customers, so I'm content :)

Ya, you can't beat PB. I used to lived in UTC, near the mall and Mission Valley across the street from the that Costco. One of my early hustles was selling my apt. complex parking space to Charger fans when they played.

I'm within easy walking distance of the Silver Fox... which is a blessing and a curse.

I've seen the sun rise at that place once or twice...grungiest of grungy down there lol.

hit me up sometime, let's grab a beer and talk shop

Live in a rent controlled 1920's studio in LA. $725. (Everything in LA built before 1982 or so is rent controlled.) New tenants pay about $1100. CA is better for illegal aliens who live 20 to a house and pay no taxes. The productive class is not welcome here. And by productive I mean anyone who pays more in taxes than they get in gov't svcs.
