How many people live in CALIFORNIA?



I live in a little city called Visalia in the Central Valley. I live in a tiny single-story 2-bedroom / 1-bathroom house that I rent for $300/mo. I think it's important to emphasize "tiny" here though, because it's only about 500 sq. ft. big. However, it has a pretty huge patio area (twice as big as the house itself) and it's in a relatively quiet neighborhood considering I live in an area that's infested with gangs. Needless to say, I don't complain. :D
 
3 br in Hollywood Hills off of Laurel Canyon - ~3000 sq ft, pool/hot tub, view of the city of LA - $4500/mo.

Never been to LB while I lived in Cali...How does LB compare to HB or Newport? Does LB have a downtown or bar area like HB or Newport?
 
I just moved from sacramento. a 2bd duplex runs anywhere between $700-$1100. I lived in a decent area, and paid $850 a month.
 
Which would you choose between these places?

- Costa Mesa
- Huntington Beach
- Long Beach
- Redondo / Hermosa Beach
