How many tabs do you keep open in your browser?

now how many CHAT windows do you guys keep open. Ive almost let some good info go to the wrong person from doing this, lol.

as for tabs...i normally have 3 windows open with 5-10 tabs on each window.

I usually keep about 2-3 windows open with like 15-20 tabs each. I do it completely by accident just because I think I "might" need that here in a little bit. It gets messy.

Well Fixie, thanks to your comment here this https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/collection/adhd caught my eye while re-downloading the Tree Style add-on.

DAMNIT. I installed this yesterday and now I'm even more messy with my tabs.


31 unique trees open. Many of those trees have ~(8) on them.

7 right now. They're all tabbed. I make a habit of ending conversations when it gets above 5 for that exact reason.

You go to copy and paste something and put it in the wrong window...

Umm you people are crazy. I typically have like 10 in one then 5 in another, maybe 5 more in the third one.

Have you heard of this FF plugin? It moves the tabs to the left side. Much easier and you can really get out of hand this way. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5890

It also keeps track of which page caused you to go to the next nested tabs.

What does browser.tabs.tabMinWidth 0 do? I would like to confirm before trying it out.

Also, isnt there supposed to be a key which if pressed would give you a list of all open tabs so you can directly click on an entry in the list to go to a particular tab. Or even better, when you opened a tab, you would remember some word in the title so when you start typing that word, if FF displayed matching tab titles it would be even better.

I usually have about 20 tabs open per browser. Drives my husband insane. He's a "closer". ( I say in whispered tones) I'm going to direct him to this thread. He will die when he reads that some people have more than 100 open at any given time.

I've been using the ff tree add on (mentioned above) for so long that when i get on a system that doesn't have it I'm completely disoriented. That and Last pass are my favorite add ons.
