How many vacations do you take per year?

And for how long?

This year i went on one week long cruise to the Caribbean. I have two more weeks of vacation time left but haven't taken them.

Ideally I think I'd like to take a week off every 17 weeks. But I also work a corporate job, so vacations are really beneficial, but sometimes hard to fit my schedule around.

What about you guys that are full time AM?

im in Thailand right now and my GF is as restless as me so we plan to see the whole world. never in the same place for more then a few years, wouldn't have it any other way.

lulz. I used my two day-job vacations this year to grind on my websites. I live abroad though, so it's pretty much always a semi-vacation in some ways.

At least every other month. Usually do 2-4 Caribbean cruises then try to hit up places in the U.S that we haven't been. Anyone who goes on cruises check out the Oasis of the seas if you have not yet. It blows all the other ships out of the water and I have been on just about all of them.

Haven't got any left for this year. I have used them all last year but will take a month long vacation next year if proper scheduling permits.

I travel at least once a month, but it's hard to term anything a 'vacation' since I'm connected remotely even if for just a few hours daily.

Like 1-2 weeks. Pathetic I know. What's more pathetic? I used to work for the U.N. where I had 7 weeks paid vacation per year. I'm giving myself 3 more years in AM and then it's minimum 2-3 months off per year.

I'd say I do around 6-8 weeks at 110% for every 1-2 I spend traveling/vacationing. Granted in my travels I always manage a few business-related meetings to keep the juices flowing but I really need that kind of balance of fully-engaged, then fully disengaged to recharge my batteries. Probably will spend 8 weeks on the road this year to my 44 in the office.

yea one thing i noticed about myself is i get burned out... so i can either work for longer periods of time at like 80% or shorter spurts with vacation time in between at 100%+

This year i'm in the 80%, next year it'll change to the latter
