How much do people with silver spoons piss you off?

If I had a rich parent I wouldn't be doing shit either and I would be mooching off them sleeping in the guest house banging chicks by the pool. It'd be Billy Madison II.

Hmmm, it's the dad's fault. 100%.

It's a dad responsibility to teach his son (or daughter) the value of money. If his dad is telling him "here's another 40k for your car" then his dad clearly has no idea how to raise responsible kids. End of story.

I don't care about them either way, it's a different world and they are not in mine.

It's nothing off my back, good for them, wouldn't care either way.

Being rich != being wealthy.

Same reason I don't care for lottery winners.

My dad buys the lottery, I asked him what he'd do if he won a million dollar, would he buy a business.

He said "nah, waste of money".

I agree that the stuck up silver spoon types can be annoying...

... yet it's a crying shame when your dad is old as fuck, one of the richest men in the world, and doesn't share his unbelievable wealth with you...

... or intend to give much in the way of an inheritance:

It's weird to me a forum full of supposedly intelligent gay webmasters even need to talk about this. Growing up poor is the fucking tits. It puts you at a major, major, major advantage over any rich kid. Rich kids are fucking handicapped compared to poor kids, in the long term at least.

I've got friends who grew up rich and probably won't need to work a day in their lives but I wouldn't switch spots with them, learned way too fucking much having to figure shit out on my own. I could go on but fuck it.

Really good thread. Lots of great points. All I know is it could always be better or it could always be worse no matter who you are or where you are. Funny thing is, is that no matter how rich or poor you are you can end up in a lot of the same places. Think about this thread alone. I'm sure there's millionaires reading it and people so broke their internet will be cut off in 10 minutes. Yet we're all here, doing the same shit. Who's really having a better life?

If you're going to hate people for being born rich and not knowing any better, hate them for being poor and not knowing any better too. Just hate everyone in general who doesn't have as much knowledge, sophistication, dedication, whatever. See what that does for you. Going to be a lonely world.

So only people who grew up poor had to work to get what they want?

Please send me their FB profiles. Rich bitches are damn good fucks.. ie If they aren't ugly and rich.

I had quite a few Girl friends whose fathers were all in the $100 Million plus league.. Never envied none of them... had good fun... Only the last one created a bit of a problem because she fall in love and all that... Oh... All these were before facebook :-)

A neighbour of mine

I have an irish neighbour who hasnt worked one day in his life. Ever.

His family owns stables, investments and racing horses that partake in derbies/grand national races.

So he basically just receives an allowance every month around 20k, rents a house nearby me and goes either to the local pub or down town.

Other than that he does absolutely nothing with his life.

Sometimes I ask him why not invest into other businesses or setup some by himself, or fuck noes, travel the world volunteer for charity. He'd rather just go down the pub or go to the bookies and place footie bets, sometimes in the 5 figure range.

Well a couple weeks ago he was pissed of, I asked him what was up, he said he'd just lost 9k on a bet (cant remember the teams, think one was chelsey or something...). I turned around and said "no worries mate, next month you will have your account topped up". He just takes it as a joke, but its true nonetheless.

Me on the other hand has bust my balls to get where i am, sometimes having upto 3 fuking jobs at a time to get by. Ive never had anything given to me and grew up in humble surroundings with, like you guys say, 'poor kids'.

Never once have i complained nor been jealous of such people. The only thing that kept me going to where i am now is the fact that we are all the same, no matter how much or how little moneys you have. We all have the exact same opportunities if one is willing to give it all they have relentlessly.

Some people do get on my tits, such as my neighbour, but hey! who am i to judge a person that has fuck all to do with me and has nothing to do with my reality?

Sometimes i even feel sorry for him because the only people he has surrounding him are fukin scumbag leeches who hang out for freebies.

Id rather be financially poor but rich in friends, than be financially rich and have fuck all friends i could trust.

Even to this date i dont go all out on flashy shit acting like a scum pimp, i simply dont need to stand out for what i have financially. I dont crave it. In fact i crave the exact opposite. Discretion.

My motto? Live and let live. Be greatful for the opportunities presented to you, and enjoy each and every challenge presented, since this and only this will make you into a bigger person that no amount of money will ever give you.

I only object if they are assholes about it and act like they're somehow superior to those without a large inheritance. Otherwise...who cares? Spend it if you got it, you can't take the money with you when you die!

please excuse my rant, but there's probably 3 chicks that i'm friends with on facebook that seriously must do absolutely nothing except collect daddys money. This has ALWAYS pissed me off. Not because i'm jealous, but just for the sheer fact that you know they have no fucking idea what it takes to work for anything in life.

For instance, this chick today posts "Good Morning" from her beachside apartment balcony. Like go fuck yourself. Your dads loaded and thats the only reason you get to do that shit. You don't truly deserve that.

Another example, a friend of a friend is this flaming douche whos dad must also be loaded. This kid is spoiled to shit, lives in NJ has an Apt thats like 3k month just for himself. I was talking to him one nite about his car, he has a 328 (meh). But anyway, he's like "yea so i had a g35 and my dad told me i could spend 40K on another car, so i decided fuck the g35, i'm just gunna get a loaded 328 convertible". All the while i'm just sitting there thinking to myself "This fucking spoiled kid has absolutely no appreciation for anything and expects everything to be bought for him"

Like 40k is nothing for him even tho his dad paid it. Lets see you go make 40k to drop on that car bud.

Sorry if i'm sounding like a hater, but i really don't give a shit, this is one of the biggest pet peeves of my life. I just hate spoiled rotten little bitches who mooch off of their parents and never develop any work ethic whatsoever.

anyone with me?

/rant

Didn't read anything but op.

I dealt with this during my entire upbringing.

You are jealous, however, and it is impossible to hide that fact. Anyone that says they wouldn't take money from a rich mom and dad are just kidding themselves.

I am proud to say that I've made it on my own but back when i was a kid you better believe if money was handed to me I didn't say "oh no I don't want that because I need to earn the money for myself".
