How To Build A Bankroll?

UPDATE: Took the 2k and went the sports gambling route. Doubled it to 4k before losing it all.

In retrospect, my mistake was partially impatience and partially the fact that I had no other ideas for what to invest it in. Gambling is a terrible business model to begin with, but I think in hindsight when I build up my next bankroll, I'll probably just start building shitty sites, throw links at them, and hope one of them takes off.

I literally LOL'd at the "gambling route", Vegas was not built on winners. Honestly your attitude is a problem. Instead of "building shitty sites" why not try to build a site that has value to the consumer. I bet you will find yourself learning and gaining valuable knowledge as you go through the process.

Did you start with $1000 on PPC or flipping sites, etc.? Wish I had been older in 2002 fml.

Ironically I did start with PPC. Flipping sites wasn't really a thing in 2002 ... atleast there wasn't an easy to use marketplace like flippa.

I found this super awesome company willing to pay me $100-150 per successful credit card sign up. I think it was Creditcards.com .... don't remember now. They provided some free landing pages and tools. So reg'd a domain for $8, bought a $10/mo hosting account and put one of their premade landers up there.

Headed to overture.com (now yahoo/bing) and slapped up one of the worst fucking text ads you have ever seen. Dropped in a $0.15/click bid (god I miss 2002) and let it run with a $200/day budget. I really had no clue but it seemed like the right thing to do. I figure I'd either make money or I'd lose my $1000 in a week. I would have been ok if I lost it because I was all stocked up on Ramen noodles and Mt. Dew for the month.

I made 1 sale at $100 out of my $200 but it gave me hope.

Now keep in mind I was clueless. I mean I was an Internet kid (had the Internet since 1993) but marketing, PPC, etc... was totally foreign. I contacted Overture to ask them why I didn't make any profit (hilarious I know!) and someone actually responded with some pointers and tips. Took that advice and by next week I was turning out about $500 a week in profit.

So I just kept inching the budget up until I was pulling in close to $20k a month off 1 campaign.... From $100 to $20k/mo in about 3 months. Beautiful times.

Been a fucking addict ever since.

think of a service to sell and you will get lots of newbies to buy it from you if you market it right . Demand is lot greater then Decent supply
