I hear that the S600 is pretty swift as is the Maybach. Anyone know anything about those?
Safety are you serious? THe corvette is going to be just as safe as any of the aforementioned cars. It has a rigid tube chassis the same used in race cars. But safety measures go only so far when you crash 100mph+.joe said:

Handling is also superb with an electroniclly dampered stabiltrack handling system. I find it funny that you mention braking then referrence the SLR. If you read anything on this car you will find time and time again the biggest problem with the car is the numbness the brakes exhert and are most difficult to control. The stats on a SLR are as follows:

If you will notice it is in fact slower than the Z06 posted time of 3.7. Once agian I will say. You are say,"Oh yea I bet this car is faster." The car you compare it to is $450,000 compared to 70,000 and the corvette still makes a stand wow.
Also, Maybachs are even close to the speed of the cars we are discussing. They dont even break sub 4 times. S600 is not even close as well.
For those of you comparing a 430 to a DB9 or other AM, they are not comparable. The thrill of driving a 430 vs. an AM is night and day. AM is cool for cruising, but best compared to a Ferrari 550, not the current V8.
If you've had the chance to drive both, you'd all pick the 430.

DAmn, I guess cars are a big motivation for people who want money. In any case, I do go to the gym. I used to be pretty fat but I cut and am now skinny fat so I'm bulking. Going pretty well. I can safely say in a year, I will be a totoal beast in the fitness department.
Now to the car part, if in a year I could buy a Ferrari 360/Gallardo I still probably wouldnt because I dont really see how I would be able to use it on a college campus. The univeristy I'm planning to go to is in a high crime nieghborhood or some my mother claims, but even if not, if I get a Ferrari/Gallardo in college its going to get so keyed up by lowlife assholes even if I leave it out on the sidewalk for a couple of minutes. Secondly, I guess with a Ferrari in college you would get tons of roadside head but it would also intimidate a lot of nice girls. Furthermore, I read some shit that girls, A) think convertible are sexy as hell and B) think corvettes are sexy as hell, as well as Z4 as some of you mentioned but there is no way in hell I am going to buy a car in that style (ie, Miata, SLK, etc). I hate the tiny miniscule style and the Z4 looks like shit IMO. Anyway, I think the inside red is pimp as hell and is that extra attention grabber. Besides a Corvette in college is flashy but not over the top. Thanks for your input

I don't want to be an ass, but if you are parking a vette on the streets and you are getting one in college just for girls you are an idiot. That won't work, they'll think you are a tool. If you can't get girls in class a car won't help you. Hopefully you'll realize this early on.
