Yep, best day of your life. How are your campaigns doing?
I've been full-time for 16 days, just got a new campaign launched today and 2 more on the way. Some of the best 16 days of my life.
Get unemployment if you can (insubordination is oftentimes not eligible...) and get moving. You now have a fire under your ass. Don't work for anyone else until your bank account is in 3 figures.
PS - I love any community where the consensus response on getting fired is a congratulations.

Its a place where a few orthodox workers get their bank accounts filled by exchanging slavery for a buck or two.

Congrats on your new found freedom. I have to say that if I got canned now, I would probably see it more as an opportunity than anything else. My slave job is actually costing me money because of the time I can't be working on my campaigns.
The only reason that I don't walk out is because I need the health insurance due to some of the medical issues that my wife is dealing with and it is never a good idea to be without insurance when you have 2 small children at home.
When I hit 5 figures a month and find a good enough health insurance option, my boss won't have to tell me to take a hike. Hopefully that will be sooner rather than later.

Not necessarily. When I got laid off 7 years ago (last time I ever worked for anyone but myself) I was already making some monies from IM. If I remember correctly to file UC you have to actively be looking for work (which I didn't do because I did not want another job, and I didn't want to fake look as it wasn't worth it to me) plus I don't believe you can have income (which I did, although not much at that time). But I'm not 100% sure on the details of being able to get UC so if it something you want check the qualifying details.
Company in his moms name and pretending to look for work == able to get unemployment. It's fraud, but he can do it if he wants too.
Anybody who ever built an empire, or changed the world, sat where you are now. And it's because they sat there that they were able to do it.
