I got fired today.

Congrats, dont let it surprise you though when your newfound self employment starts feeling like a real job / chore. Thats when you really know your on to something.

I went on and off fulltime IM for about 2 years before sticking to fulltime. I was still growing up maturity wise and partially bored as hell working from home. Every boss I ever had was always really cool to me, but luckily the last time I went back to work my last boss had been replaced by a real douchebag, and I was making more in 1 day at home automated what I made in 2 weeks at the regular job.

I didnt last 2 weeks before I quit and stayed fulltime IM.

Getting fired FTW! I actually quit my job, but whatever, same difference. Now you can go work at Starbucks all day and whenever a cute girl sits down next to you, hey what do you know, it's break time.
 
hell yah, thanks for all the positive replies. Definitely something to look back at to remind me how bad it got. I am surprised that I went that long, but thinking if it didn't happen, how long would I be able to take it, kinda crazy, but so relieved it finally happened. Ive worked with about 6 different clients since I've been canned, and been so busy, don't even have enough time to think of what I use to do, good luck to all, and I'll be seeing you guys at conferences !
 
one thing boggles me, what the fuck did you do to her.... And for the love of god, I would def have told my boss to fuck off if she yelled at me like that...
 
I would have just gone in and fucked the shit out of your boss... sounds like she could have done with a good root... that usually shuts the bitches up... :p

Same here. I basically was going to get fired because my boss viewed me as competition for a regional manger position even though I only worked there for six months. Weird how corporate allowed him to fire me even though they always called me directly instead of going through him.
 
Your a better man than me, to let your boss actually tell you to "shut the fuck up" twice...I'd be fired that same day, after I told her what part of her mother to go suck.
 
My story was a little different.

My bosses where about to bitch me out about some stupid shit. Just as they opened their mouths i told them i was done and i was going to quit. The look on their face was priceless. Both their jaws dropped and they where speechless for like a minute.
 
I last worked for a boss in 2004.

I remember all over again why I celebrate the anniversary.
 
I remeber working retail and my boss Sandra (old hag) had a hardon for making my life misserable... The problem for her was that I was that the store manage was a looooong time family friend lol I didn't even fill out an application or anything he just gave me the job. No interview nothing lol

Anyway they pulled me into the back office one day because they all knew that I couldn't be fired because the store manager wouldn't allow it.


anyway my boss sandra is throwing a fucking temper tantrum yelling and shit then I was like, "What the fuck ever bitch I quit"

It immediatly changed the ENTIRE dynamic... All of a sudden they were giving me complements about my work??? Then wtf you were just yelling at me for bitch... they went on about the economy and how I wouldn't be able to get a job... Then they begged me to give them a 2 weeks notice...



Just remember your boss treats you like shit because you let them treat you that way. Same thing goes for anyone else in your life that treats you like shit.
 
So, seems there is more to this story. I have never been treated this shitty in my life by anyone, and it just makes me even happier to be gone from that place. So I got canned on Thursday, end of the day, and they owed me for working 9-6 from Monday to Thursday, and also getting bitched at everyday, and working under there roof, under there supervision. No check yet. Instead , I got a letter from them threatening to sue me! Yep, for what? using there laptop that they gave me permission to use for my projects. They had the nerve to ask me to transfer all of my domains to them, and said they are going to take lawful action on me for doing outside work on the job, (which I never did, I took laptop home everyday). Sooo.... I called an attorney who has been in the business for 50 years, and he told me to tell them to go fuck themselves. I was 1099, subcontractor which means they can't do shit in those regards, and also it looks like they violated the law by not taking out deductions in my pay for 2 years. Friday they thought they were so cool when I asked me for my check and instead got this bullshit email response. They think they got shit on me, but it turns out that's exactly what they got, SHIT. This is to everyone who is still working for the man, watch yourself, because 2 weeks ago these guys were stable human beings, now there monsters. It's funny what money does, all for one check.
 
WOOOT!! Stay home and chill! Sounds much better than going to a job you hate only to have your boss screaming at you. Tons of time wasted that can be better spent doing whatever the fuck you wanna do instead. That'll teach you to ever be a slave to the man! :O
