I may get scammed out of $1600

i have a claim right now on a bullshit SEO service from buy sell trade so I hope this is true

you will win...it may take a few months but you'll definitely win. I've done it on a script i bought that didn't work and the seller wouldn't refund me for and i've won even though the seller fought it tooth and nail (they really should have just provided support rather then waste all their time fighting chargebacks though).

sorry for not being ontopic but...

GO BULLS, fuck the heat with some tough defense!

hi, loyolabenson :p

I actually just got an email from PayPal about a dispute I filed against someone a couple weeks ago. I bought some "virtual goods" and they turned out to be a lot shittier than I expected, and here's PayPal's reply:

"Unfortunately, we were unable to resolve this claim in your favor because the item purchased was virtual or intangible."

PayPal really is some bullshit and I'm tempted to start selling ebooks on DP that turn out to be only one page saying "lol u got scammed bitch." If PayPal actually uses the "you can't dispute a virtual/intangible item" excuse against buyers, they're fucked.

If you file a claim on an intangible transaction you'll definately lose but, I think you can do the dispute and let them decide from there. I think it's up to you to take it from a dispute to a claim, if you go to claim they will ask for shipping info etc.. so if something goes wrong just dispute it and don't go forward with the claim and see what happens. I've deal with this same type of thing but, it was a long a go so I don't remember exactly. I just know that going to claim i lost every time.

Update:

I talked to one of the women (diane)

She called me as I placed my phone number on the fedex package slip.

She's like , What is this? I did not order this.

So I told her what was up, forwarded every email I received in the transaction to her.

Now here's the weird thing... Obviously the Ebay account was not hers, but neither was the paypal! So someone used her confirmed address, and that was it.

So I advised her to get in touch with Ebay and Paypal to see what was up.

This is some weird shit that I have never heard of before.

That's interesting. I thought paypal screwed sellers, not the other way around. lol

Someone probably just phished her account and started using it to buy shit. Lucky for you scammers usually aren't too smart and send the same generic message to everyone and you caught them.

I've been screwed on both sides. Bought a broken phone on ebay last year and PayPal said "you won the dispute but we are unable to refund your money." Honestly I think PayPal just tells both sides they lost and then keeps the money for themselves. According to them, the money is removed from the seller's account as soon as the dispute is filed, so how would they not be able to refund it? If I ran PayPal that's probably what I'd do, seeing as they basically have a monopoly and even though they've fucked me multiple times I still use them.

^^^ what do you mean phished her account? The paypal account used to purchase the tickets was not hers. Only the address within the account was hers.

and lol I can see paypal keep the money from both sides.

Oh then that is weird, this is like a new level of scamming where they're just doing random shit and it doesn't even make sense. Unless it actually was her account and she just denied it because you called her out.
