If you like your health insurance coverage....you can keep it!

Australia has public and private health insurance and it's true the whole country is collapsing and the insurance companies are losing all their trillions of dollars and no one is happy and people are just dying in the street.

they forgot to show her and her thug friends making sure that other lemonade stands don't get set up in her area.

Did you forget that it's the government stopping insurance companies from competing? That it's government 'thugs' making sure other lemonade stands don't get set up in the area?

If you pay for insurance then you are already paying for people who don't contribute.

I'd rather have that then the government forcing me to do it through taxes.

People don't want "green poor-people lemonade".

I think enough will continue choosing the real quality lemonade on the right.

If people can't afford the "real lemonade" then there's green lemonade... room for both.

No, but I'm not the one making videos using lemonade girl as a representation of the insurance companies current level of influence on government.

honestly, I don't think the people really have much say about what pans out in the long run. Maybe a lot of you guys have more faith in how the system works than I do.

and for all of you guys complaining, what are you doing to change it? seriously, I'm really curious.

Right, I'm sure it's the insurance companies that don't want to gain an entire new client base in other states, just like I'm sure they love the frivolous lawsuits being brought against them. Your mental gyrations are becoming pathetic and desperate.

Don't worry friend. If the bill that Reid is currently hiding ATM and intends to throw on the floor tomorow passes...you will either PURCHASE the POS coverage or be fined by the government.

If this happens....it will be the first time in our history that we are REQUIRED by the government to purchase a good or service. This is a HUGE blow to our freedom.

Don't any left fuck try to equate it with car insurance either. You don't have to purchase car insurance if you don't drive a car.

And you don't have to purchase health insurance if you don't have health....

It's the same thing. The government forces you to buy car insurance just like this will force you to buy health insurance. The "not if you don't have a car" argument is fucking transparent and desperate.

Bah I'm not gonna get into this here, but it's hilarious to watch former Bush supporters talk about freedom.

PROCEED....

Yeah, same thing is happening in Canada. If only we had private health insurance companies to fund hospitals up north in the Yukon, it would be like paradise here.

According to that cartoon health care costs will go down 50%. If we were to base our stance on the cartoon then I have to say I'm for the public option.

Geez I must have fucked up because I've been REQUIRED to pay for shit I don't want from the government for many years. Two wars that I feel we should have never started come to mind as well as this stupid social security bullshit.

Does it make a huge different to you that they are making you purpose something and not just including it your taxes. Or are you just making a dramatic statement to support your cause instead of you know relevant and true information?

I have a chronic disease that I was born with that will cost me huge amounts in medical bills for the rest of my life. I do not support government health insurance though. I was also born with talents that allow me to make a decent living and I don't want to share that with those that don't so I'm not going to ask those that were born without chronic diseases to pay for mine.

The problem is that health insurance is bundled with most peoples jobs so and they don't choose who they go with. It should be illegal to include any form of health insurance as part of employment, everyone should just make more money and have a choice of buying insurance from many different companies. But when a corporation pays for your health insurance it's a tax deduction when you pay for it , it's not. Ever wonder who got that rule put in place?.....

From what I can see it certainly seems like the inability of choice for the individual consumer is what really prevents the free market from doing its thing.

Wars, roads, defence etc. is funded by tax dollars. The government has a right to tax it's citizens. The government however does not have a right to require me to purchase a good or service from a private party.

apples and oranges.

The problem is the private lemonade isn't .50, it's more like $750 a cup, or $30 a sip. The lemons cost $100 per fruit, sugar is $75 a spoonful, and the water is $95 a pint, but you gotta keep drinking or die from thirst. Everybody's lemonade is priced not according to competition, but how much juice they can squeeze from the thirsty.

The point of public option lemonade is to lower the price so everybody can afford lemonade by opening a new stand that will compete with the greedy private lemonade sellers. We need this kind of competition because the market won't do it all by itself, and because life without lemonade really sucks.

The market "won't do it by itself" because the insurance market is allready heavily regulated by government. If the government would losen it's current grip on the insurance industry, true market competition would occur.

BTW..I just don't understand how you think a private company is EVER going to compete with the government. The government can lower, raise prices, and provide benefits in their products ANY way they please. They can take billion dollar loses and still provide service (see the postal service). A private company MUST make a profit for it's shareholders.
