If you're not already using a VPN you might want to start

I don't understand this really. I mean with Peer Blocker and forced encryption in uTorrent, why do you need a VPN? I've been doing it this way for years and I've never received a warning or a C&D.

Well peerblocker is nearly useless, but forced encryption should work, as well as sticking to private trackers (no, not shitty "private" trackers like demonoid). The only people who get caught are the idiots who download extremely popular torrents off piratebay with no encryption and leave it seeding forever.

Copyright is the justification they'll use to clamp down. Interesting how they use the ISP's themselves as their private Internet cops. For those of you thinking you can evade this latest development, you might be the last ones, but they'll still get you in the end.

Four more years!

I'm probably more likely to die in an automobile accident or get struck by lightning than to get fined for downloading torrents...I'm willing to take those odds. The measures they are taking to stop people from downloading copyrighted material is all based on fear. A few good men will die in the process, but if we all keep downloading we'll all be fine.

who gives a fuck? here is an answer: stop downloading fucking hacked apps that dont work that contain virii and you should be paying for anyway, and purchase your music and movies like everyone else. is this a fucking warez forum?

"AMERICANS do something quick" <--------how about everyone stop stealing music, movies and applications and these American government organizations will loosen up a little bit. that is the answer!

yes lets all start a movement to petition the government to allow us to steal thousands of dollars worth of shit "so i can have it on my ipad"

You said virii.

But no, you have a point but put the torpedo back where it came from. To me, this is a bigger issue than that. It's an enabling action essentially "enabling" our government to start controlling our accessibility to the internet. I'll be the first to tell hellblazer he's crazy, but in this instance I truly believe this is just a mutually beneficial reason for the government to start getting their grubby hands on our dirty little playground.

It might be a cesspool, but it's MY cesspool.

I see someone's niche is software.

Sigh, Time to get a VPN, but I'm not sure where but I just recently read that the NSA is building a supercomputer that will record just about every single action you make on the internet, also has the ability to decrypt and read all emails.

Bigbrothers coming..

I think they've had that for a while. Echelon got a lot of press years ago but it's not like they stopped developing after that. Son of Echelon or grandson of Echelon is certainly churning away.
