I'm gonna be in Manila for 2 weeks starting in the end of July. Any recommendations on things to see and places to go? When I vacation I usually just sight see during the day and hit the clubs at night. No need to recommend any whorehouses, I prefer putting in work to get girls.

live there for 2 years and travel lots on a motorcycle and love it . very tropical island . there are many things to see just get out their and go .

I recommend you get the fuck out of the city, at least for a few days. Manila's interesting but there's so much beauty and so much to do in Philippines, and Manila is still just a massive dirty city, as over the top as it is. There are some decent dive spots on Luzon (and you can get your open water certificate for like $350), and the mountains of North Luzon are supposed to be awesome for trekking.

In Manila I stayed in Makati and checked out a club called Bureau which was decent. Another one was called Embassy (though I think they changed the name -- but it's in a complex called "The Fort"). That seemed to be the most upscale place where all the rich people go. So you get the hot high society girls and shit. Kind of hard to get in with them sometimes because they're there with big groups of guys and girls, but hey it's worth a try. Easier at Bureau, but quality's a bit lower. There are clubs in the Ermita and Malate areas too, but there's a lot of hookers in those clubs so you have to constantly weed them out which can be annoying.

In Cebu City (on Cebu island, not Manila) I pulled at clubs every night. If you happen to go there check out Mango Square, there's a club called Juliana's, another called BEAT, and another one Pump 2. Easy pickings but a bit ghetto and the clubs are dark as fuck so you have to make sure that chick who starts grinding her ass against you is not a ladyboy. Something slightly more upscale was a place called Voodoo (not in Mango Square).

I just got back from the 'Pines. Awesome place.

I live from Philippines and yea and everything that Bombastic dude told you is TRUE. Makati is the place to go. BUT if you love partying you better find Eastwood city.. Night life is sooo much better in Eastwood and you'd find a ton of "good" girls there as oppose to settling with stupid strippers in other parts in Manila.

Makati and Eastwood are the place to go but if youre out to relax and uhm, look at the beautiful sceneries then head on to the provinces..

Was on Boracay once (and got a glimpse of Manila before the connecting flight). Beautiful country. Definitely gotta go again.

If you want elegant ambiance libis and ortigas is the RIGHT place. Makati is good too. If you don't like HOT environment. You can go to Baguio (which is on north luzon and top of the mountains) I am NOT that sure if the internet connection is reliable there. I think ortigas and libis. is good to do. Welcome to RP.

Go to Palawan - it's the best part of the country. Manila is a bit ugly and personally I'm not a big fan of Boracay, but some people do love it. I've also heard that Camiguin is lovely.

I lived in Davao for about 3 years - it's a great part of the country but not a good place to visit for a few days.

Is Eastwood City a complex in Quezon City? I heard Quezon is a university town and that you can meet nice college girls there. Didn't get a chance to go though.

try the balut. Once u get past the idea, it's not bad.

2 weeks in manila is not an ideal holiday, its a big hot, humid, rainy, busy city.

Stay in makati (business district), go to Greenbelt complex for restaurants and shopping. Ocean Park (40 minutes away) is worth a visit (big aquarium). Other than that there is not much else to see in the day (unless you like old buildings).

At night follow the others' advice, and try Malate too- which has some interesting bars with live bands.

If you can get out of Manila go to Boracay for beach with nightlife, or Palawan for remote islands and less people.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll definitely have to take a trip somewhere as I can imagine there isn't 2 weeks worth of sightseeing to be done in Manila. Oh and I'll definitely stay away from the Balut and the ladyboys.
