I'm Officially Banned at Digital Point!

As of this afternoon, someone went through a lot of trouble to have me banned at DP. I'm on a six month ban. My hubby who hasn't even signed into his account since April is permanently banned. Apparently he changed his screen name in 2006 (never even posted on the first name) and then there was some iTrader nonsense almost a YEAR ago that was the "reason" we were banned today.

We have "multiple accounts" because we're husband and wife living in the same household with the same IP address. Go figure.

So this squeaky clean copywriter is brought down by shit that happened almost a year ago and was bullshit to begin with.

So, now that I have all this forum-devoted time on my hands and no access to my fellow copywriters over there (except through email and IM, but really - what fun is that?), I've decided to dig in over here.

That works out pretty well, actually. Y'all are a sharper bunch of webmasters, anyway.

So, in a FUCK YOU move :nopenope:, I feel I need to offer a terrific special that will never be seen on DP. Why reward the assholes with a terrific deal when I have y'all to hang with?

I have the content thing going on now, but that's similar to specials I've had over there. I need something good - what do you think? I have great link options, articles, blogs, and most forms of copywriting. What would be a hot special to offer right now to reward my NEW friends? LOL

FU DP!

This was enough for us to like you even more. But seriously, were you able to close deals on DP with your rates? The market there is cheap and crappy, nowhere near your level.

Well, since we're all BFF now, I'll tell you my secrets. I'd have a special and bring in a few new clients every now and again who seemed to think those rates were great. Then, I'd let them keep that discount for the original sale item, but charge them my standard rate for everything else they wanted.

That got me a lot of business, but as with any forum, there are players at many levels. Those who know the difference between levels of content and copywriting usually sought me out with questions as I was a rather prominent poster over there among my copywriting friends. They found me. I also specialize in certain areas so referrals in those areas are nicely sustainable, too.

So between my old clients with a combo of "cheap" rates and typical rates, and new clients who saw the value of the rate and material, I made a rather fair full-time salary - and DP is/was not my only source of writing income.

Now most of my work comes from companies and referrals - not the average webmaster just breaking into the business or still growing his empire. I know my stuff is expensive for the average joe, but if you catch me on a good sale, I'll usually honor that package or deal for the long-haul as an act of good faith.

Long answer to a short question, but there are big spenders over there. They just aren't the ones asking dumb-ass questions like "Is $5 an article too much?" LOL If the phrase "must pass copyscape" even enters the conversation, it was on a whole other level of DP content commerce.

Tits and 500 words for $10.

ROFLMAO!

Did I mention I had two giant babies and have the stretchmarks to prove it? The days of hotness are over for now (gotta save up for that boob job and tummy tuck), but a handful of 500 words for $10 accompanied by a snapshot of what's left of a belly that held 10.5 and 12.5 pound little baby boys might be worthwhile...if you can stand the sight of it. (Yes, I've been to the little Skittles thread...I think I saw some of my students...or all of my students...)

10.5 and 12.5 babies????? Holy fuck lady. Can you even walk anymore?

btw, welcome to WF :)

Yup, I can walk - I just have a terrific scar where they pulled those adorable little guys out during the scheduled C-sections. I find it shows off the stretchmarks nicely.

Thanks, I'm loving it already.

Don't let him low-ball you like that.

The only one low-balling me is the man I married. :love-smiley-087:
