Inglourious Basterds

Really didn't like it.
It had a plot, but there was no real opposition to it. In a movie where you know who will win, I feel like the enemy has to put up a better fight to keep the movie interesting.

That's what weirded me out. I was expecting for the Nazis to win and it turning into a drama and not ending in some gay Hollywood happy ending.

umm .. im sorry...
**** spoiler alert

did you want EVERYONE to fucken die??? Would that satisfy your indie lovin, depressing, shoot myself endings?

Its Quentin Fucken Tarentino.... you should have known by Pulp Fiction if you don't like his style... god damn man.

Sorry about the Spoiler above but apparently I was the only one expecting the movie to be at least somewhat truthful to history anyways...

And yeah, I would have liked it much better if it would have been embedded in history. Don't care if all the Bear Jews would have died or not, I was really weirded out by the whole: "Oh, lets just stop the war" Ending.

Yeah, I thought it was extremely slow and drawn out. And I thought a lot of the humor was just fuckin stupid. The type of stuff that appeals to dumb mainstream America. I guess a lot of people do like this stuff though...

Yah it was especially slow and drawn out during the character development pieces...like wtf? I dont care about the characters, i just wanna see explosions and constant action so that my brain is numbed to fuck like the rest of mainstream America.

TRANSFORMERS 2!!!!1111

Movie was great but the ending was meh. YES I did expect everyone to die in a very nasty/ironic way in the end. Oh well, can't complain with all the shit movies coming out these days.

Oh and the German hunter actor was top notch.

I thought it was pretty...

However, Tarantino movies have the best kinda violence. Baseball bat was awesome.

Doesn't Tarantino just rip-off obscure, unknown foreign filmmakers and remake them as big Hollywood movies? Haven't really tried most of his stuff after Kill Bill nearly put me into a coma from boredom in the theatre seat.

saw it a few nights ago. good shit.

the introduction of Hugo Stiglitz was fucking great, among other things.

That's Tarantino's style though... He doesn't go for traditional character development and story arcs. He focuses on the boring conversations for establishing roles.

I don't know, I'm not a total fanboy but I kind have certain expectations of the Tarantino style... It's prevailant in any of his flicks... The restaurant scene in Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction, the bar scene in Deathproof or the dialog in this film.

I don't know, it's a different pace than 98% of anything that's being done, and his take on violence is always fucking awesome.

I didn't find it to be a particularly amazing film, some highlights though, still way better than that District 9 shite.
