Not sure if I'd call these documentaries, but I like this guy, and he always makes interesting videos / documentaries. Here's another from him.

Other two parts are in the related vids section.

Must have did this a while ago, and good ole' Ralph Klein was still premier of Alberta. This is a premier who pulled up to a homeless shelter drunk in his limo, threw a bunch of coins on the ground, and said, "go get a damn job!". Maybe a little harsh, but he was actually right. No reason to be homeless in Alberta. If you want a job, you have one. Alberta is a little backwards in that way -- employers struggle to keep employees, versus employees struggling to convince their employers they're worth their job.

EDIT: haha, check out part 2 starting at 0:30. Premier of Alberta, piss drunk, doing an interview, lol.

Just finished Long Way Round up today (Netflix Link). Technically, it is not a documentary but a series.

I thought it was very good. Ewan McGregor did get a bit whiney at times, but when I thought about it more I'm surprised an actor pulled this off. The first couple of episodes are the planning phase for the trip and drag a little, but the rest of the episodes are great.

I like the biz, drugs, and greed docs.
But for a switch of pace. On netflix.

Here's also another really cool one by good ole VICE re: climate change. These guys have been from Greenland to Antartica to check things out for themselves.

Watch The Exodus Decoded Online | Hulu

It's called exodus decoded and is about the biblical exodus. It shows evidence for finding the actual time of the exodus and how it coincides with historial events that might have cause the "miracles" or what not. I watched it twice, once as a christian, once as an atheist, found it interesting both times.

I think it's called mystery of the pyramids. Talks about the great pyramid mostly but also about other sites across the globe and how they might be linked. The parts about the the faces on egyption statues blew my mind. As well as that lotus flower vase. It's part "aliens" all though they never say it, I've watched this several times and if nothing else it shows you just how amazing these structures really are.

30 for 30: OF Miracles and Men - The USSR perspective on the 1980 Men's Olympic Hockey upset. Amazing perspective on the old Soviet Union and their passion for mens hockey.

A worthy watch.

I think this shit is fascinating, and they ought to get about building one, stat. Seems appropriate to our apocalyptic times.

Will definitely check that out. For any fans of sports docs, drug docs, the 30 for 30 series, or pretty much anyone, ESPN 30 for 30: The Two Escobars is a phenomenal one. Arguably the best documentary I've seen
