Anyone tried marketing to the Russians? And if yes, what products are actually out there except flights into space .......

You could try selling some botnet software or vodka to them but you'll probably get hit with a lot of fraudulent credit cards either way.

Waite in line

Tried bread before, however it got there rotten, after sending it from my castle in swizerland all the way to russia. Any other cool ideas ?

I want so badly to market to the BRIC countries. So much potential. So hard to break in. Pharmaceutical companies are pulling their hair our trying to get into these markets, would affiliates have it any easier?

You can't sell to the Russians...

1. A lot of them do not use credit/debit cards
2. They don't trust the interwebs (can you blame them with so many of the spammers in BRIC)
3. If they can get it for free they will never pay... so forget any digital product

i second that... plus - if you're not russian, just... forget it. You will NEVER figure them out unless you were born there. Same goes for Japan I guess?..

Internet in Soviet Russia?? We couldn't even listen american radio stations :xmas-smiley-016:
Now it's WAY faster than in Canada and they don't have d/l limits with most providers unlike Rogers (fuck I hate it :angryfire:)

You know, this is actually a really astute inquiry. Russia was at the avant garde of internet marketing until the early 2000's when their major spammers (Kushnir, Tolstokozhev, etc) were murdered in presumably (non-spam)-related incidents. The fact is, the Russians are some of the most technologically inclined peoples on Earth - AND had earliest access to the interwebz, and thusly horded thousands (if not millions) of IPs and blocks, etc, from which to send penis pill emails and make (literal) killings.

However, this market is both growing and robust, and there is a fortune to be had. . .if there is a way to infiltrate. I do know that Adlabs, Ogava, Ruvza are some pretty large networks in Russia but I have YET to deal with them personally, though I would love to. . .my guess is that they keep things pretty insulated due to the negative stigmas that have come from their previous spam endeavors, but if you can get into the space - which I'm sure you can, just utilize some of those sweet google 'skillz' - you can make it profitable.

I suggest you not to try. If you knew what i know about russian marketers and russian internet users you could start calling this forum "very clean super shiny whitehat" instead of "blackhat"
