I think everyone who *is not* muslim should watch this video and then do their own research. I found this eye opening, then after further digging, started learning more about something I really didn't understand.
Islam: What the West Needs to Know - FULL LENGTH ENGLISH VERSION
Atheist, unbelievers, agnostics, most "normal" people dont understand what both the christians and muslims want. It's basically the same thing, just christians have a slightly tactic to achieve the results compared to muslims.
God is one god, they want to live in a society where that God is reverred, accepted, loved. Christians want a Christian nation founded around the teachings of Christ. Muslims want a Muslim nation, founded around the teachings of Mohammad. They dont want a "religion" on the side. Thats why both sides have such a hard time accepting separation of church / state.
The above mentioned people want religion to be accessory, but true believers (on both sides) will continue to fight that... The only scary part is that the koran teaches to forcefully make others bow to the will of Allah. Christians might have an "annoying" factor - but we really just want others to leave God-given purposeful lives and hopefully help save someone from damnation.
full disclosure on my post: I am a Christian, believer that Jesus Christ is son of God and that he died for the sins of mankind. I am a sinner, I obviously fail daily. Thats obvious if you know me. If anyone wants to talk directly about my beliefs, I would love to - but I dont argue about it cause that just causes problems. Hopefully everyone will respect that.
