Just created first ever facebook ads account and campaign. 5min later account flagged

Advertise base on strategy. If you're going to brand build go entire page, content on the top should be top notch. Recent post coupled with a trending topic within your niche, bank. Individual post for the timeless stuff.

My actual problem is even getting any impressions. I'm targeting "interests" in certain pages for various ad types and not getting any impressions for every ad except one that got about 280 impressions a couple hours ago.

My target potential audience is at 6.8 million.

Any idea why I'm not getting any imps?

Could it just be the time of day? Or is 6.8 million too small?

the campaign went live less than 4 hours ago?

not a judgment, i've just been wondering how testable FB campaigns are, so i'm interested in the outcome of this discussion.

Yeah it's weird.

The first ad I created started getting traffic probably 5-20 minutes after creation. Was only targeting 48k User ID's and was told to add more people based on interest/pages liked.

So I've been doing that and my potential targets are up to 11.2 million.

Still no traffic, even though all ads are live and approved.

Targeting ages 13-65 with United States and United Kingdom.

The ads with manual bids are priced in the middle of the estimates.

Hopefully someone can come in here and drop some knowledge.

Either way I'll probably start a case study thread tomorrow and PM a fuckton of people.

Can you provide any insight in regards to my previous post.

There is absolutely nothing for you to be alarmed about. The red box error that you experienced on your new advertising accounts is a very common issue with Facebook. This happens particularly on new personal accounts in order to combat credit card fraud. If your actual personal account never had ads manager activated and you actually tried to put up ads for the first time - you would very likely never see that error appearing as you just did.

Considering that you are promoting an innocent fan page, just keep on trucking away. If you do submit an ID for the downed account, you will likely have it re-enabled once the risk department confirms that you have not been banned from Facebook in the past.

I got a alert on my facebook profile that stated are you trying to add a Credit card? Fraud activity alert, they sent me to a form page to fill out and explain what had happen, I honestly wanted to say NO BITCH.

but I said, it wasn't my credit card, etc etc.

Thanks for the heads up, but I guess I meant do you have any advice or insight in regards to the post I made about lack of impressions?

Sorry, didn't notice it.

The impression problem you are experiencing has been going on for a while. It will turn on and off, some days you won't even meet the budget you set for the campaign. Again, I don't run on FB anymore due to my C&Ds, but this is what I heard from my friends.

Gotcha.

So just to clarify, people you've been talking to who regularly advertise on facebook have been experiencing similar problems where they are having a hard time even gaining ad impressions?

Yes. The people that I speak to on a regular basis that regularly advertise on Facebook in a frequent matter that regularly keep tabs for me informed me that they have been having grave difficulty in seeing consistent traffic from Facebook. One day everything is fine, the next day - very little traffic.

Fuck alright.

If you could point any of them to this thread or if you hear anything about possible solutions please post here again or shoot me a PM.

Thanks for the help.

PS. Any idea when they first started noticing this problem?

Hello there. I have been directed here by a friend that is no longer part of the Facebook community but has been kept in the loop with Facebook's recent turmoil. Unfortunately I myself do not advertise directly on Facebook as well but have a group of close friends that also advertise closely on Facebook. Luckily I am kept in the loop on a daily basis with any Facebook issues. The problem that you are witnessing with impressions has been a problem for the past month.

Resolution? Try resubmitting similar ads. Don't be afraid of using the optimized CPM option - my friends have reported to have seen better results in terms of CPC when it came to using that feature.
