I have a hipster/neckbeard wannabe on my friends list.

I'm half hispanic, my hair is dark brown but my beard grows in a magnificent deep red that women will spend $$$ to get like and still can't.

It's not that beards take patience it's that they take commitment, add a tattoo or 2 and a girl sees a bad boy she can lock down. They might as well walk around with a wet floor sign (give that a sec to sink in...) and there you have it. Honestly I'm still 50/50 on it, I'll get tempted to shave it off because it's no the scruff I like and I'm not up for commitment right now, but then I'm like "I've already made it this far, let's go a little longer and see what happens" — feeling at odds.

I love that not only is this photo and other versions of it making their rounds on the internet but that women are liking, decorating and retweeting it. I think it says quite a but about gender roles and/or the power of beards in modern society.
