Keyboard Suggestions?

I've got the Ergo 4000 too; Fucking awesome Keyboard this one.

-People who learned to keep their wrists up in the air properly in typing class will hate it tho; it does that job for you and they can't stand the rest so close to their wrists...

But if seriously, I use the most basic $5 keyboard, but hopefully will get Das Keyboard one day, that does indeed look awesome.

I used to use HP wired keyboard, but I started using Dell KB212-B QuietKey USB Keyboard Black that came with Vostro machine. Brilliant.

Be aware that Wireless keyboards will require a constant supply of batteries. Imagine not able to send an email at 3am because your keyboard batteries run out.

The other thing is that they are susceptible to sniffing from some bluetooth warrior sucker next door. There goes your credentials, while your machine is clean :D

i learned to type on an old typewriter like that. I think that's why I like clicky keyboards, they have a strong physical punch to them.

I recently got logitech k800 and love it. keys feel nice, almost like laptop. battery last forever, and can be charged with a usb cord, while still working on it (basically turns into a wired keyboard temporarily). keys light up nicely. range is insane, in fact, i tried to go out of range in my apartment, and couldn't. i went as far back as i could (> 10m) and it still worked fine.

also, why do you need wireless? do you move your keyboard around a lot or what?

I like to kick back in my chair and have my KB on my lap. But the wire on this Ultrithin is long enough. I really just don't like having wires on my desk, but this one isn't that bad.

I'll consider the 4000 but I'd get the elite one which is all 100% black.

This one looks to be a little laptopish, unfortunately, but it's solar.

its all about the illumination - at night esp when you are in the dark trying to hit alt + shift + ^ or some shit like that

Is this a serious thread???? I mean wtf.... all my full time employees; even myself - have those nice shiney black keyboards over @ walmart. They cost like $ 6 bux. Must it be necessary to get these "high end keyboards"? They all get loud and sound like shit and need replacement in like 6 months anyway. So dont be gay

Why the hell does a mechanic need those expensive ass tools when he can go get cheap ones right? Fuck they sell those one wrenches that are like 10 in 1. Stupid fucking mechanics could save so much money just buying a couple of those!

Trolls be trolling.

Yet I agree to a point. The keyboard I posted is an ergonomic keyboard, and will save your wrists like a mother fucker, and assuming you don't get it on sale it's like $50 and I've had it for over 2 years now and still kicking. Worth every dollar. A $100+ gaming keyboard on the other hand, not quite so sure.

Yup, listen to the man. The Ergo 4k is the perfect keyboard for every non-gamer.

The fact that it's made 100% from recycled soccer balls and 25% of the proceeds from sales go to the American Soccer League recruiting office are the only downsides to this purchase at all.

Will now be getting rid of it ASAP!
